No, in fact the doors don’t have a screen either. Strictly only as a security door, but I love it anyway! Thinking about having custom screens made for the door.

The door does not have a threshold at all. There's about a 1/2 inch gap/opening across the entire bottom.

Home depot and seko transportation/shipping is terrible and lost one of my doors and then tried to say it was delivered and then said it was on its way and so forth each lies after lies. The doors themselves are not worth the money you pay for them way over priced and the coating on them is shoddy with places not even covered so rust will happen. You have to buy your own hardware/fixtures like door locks and knobs. After you pay for everything and get stressed out over not getting the doors or part of a shipment and getting lies told to you and tracking numbers that don't work at all, you could probably just hire a person to make you some custom strong, well made doors that are a whole lot better and you will actually get them on time with no blemishes or damage and the person will probably install them also where as Home Depot will charge you an arm and a leg to install them. Also the dimensions of the doors in real life are not the same as what Home depot advertises them as. Buyer Beware!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice looking but there were installation and quality issues The door looks nice when installed. Installation had it issues. It came with instructions for a single door not a double. Had to find a video online from the company. We were told there was holes on both sides for a different lock we were going to use but came with standard lock set up on one side - better for most users. We had to order longer security screws as the supplied ones were too short for our thicker door attachment location. We installed the secondary door first with no issues but in fitting the primary door there was too large of a gap. There was an 1/8" gap at top and bottom between the doors but in the middle - at the locks - there was a 1/4" gap. When we added the top bar it pushed the doors further apart. We did not have time to go back to the manufacturer as this was a time sensitive repair. We adjusted as well as we could and added a plate at the lock location to prevent being able to pry the doors apart due to the separation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install I was able to install the doors easily after reading the reviews and watching install videos. While it would have been great to have help, I was able to surprise everyone! The doors are absolutely amazing!! 90 degree heat outside and the house was cool with a nice breeze. As a bonus, our dog has destroyed every screen on doors but this one! I think the house would fall apart before those doors come off-great security. Definitely the best buy!

We've gone through a couple of the typical sliding screen doors that are made for patio doors, and completely wasted our money. The first one, one of our Great Danes plowed through like it wasn't there, bending the frame all up and busting out the screen. The second one, never really fit right, and eventually the cheap plastic wheels it rolled on, broke. Tired of not getting the benefit of being able to open both French doors and get a breeze in the house without insects and vermin coming in, I got to researching what else was available for our needs. Some companies make retractable screen doors, but consumer reviews on those are even worse than the flimsy sliding screen doors, so I was not inspired. Home Depot's website search offered this Unique Home Designs 72 in. x 80 in. Solana White Surface Mount Outswing Steel Double Security Door with Perforated Metal Screen as an option. I had been thinking screen doors, or possibly storm doors, and didn't even realize that a security door was an option. Some of the reviews were not exactly glowing, but my gut instinct told me that some of those sounded more like poor installation issues than a real problem with the door design itself. I went ahead and ordered one, and boy am I glad I listened to my gut instinct. The door, and a single width one I also ordered for our front door, were shipped to our local store on a A-frame pallet, and securely wrapped in plastic wrap, so they arrived in perfect condition. The young man at the store was very helpful in getting this heavy package loaded into my pickup truck. Along the way out, several other customers commented on how beautiful these doors were, and expressed interest in buying one for themselves. The instructional video from Unique Home Designs shows that you are supposed to install the passive door first, then the active door, then the top rail. In our location, there was not enough room between that top rail and the roof soffit to allow us to do that, so we had to loosely connect the two doors and the top rail, then lift this loose assembly into place, then level, square it, and screw it down. I won't kid you, it was very awkward, with the three sections all twisting, swinging around, and tilting, but with three of us, we managed it. I elected to not use the one-way screws that Unique Home Designs includes, as I wanted to be able to remove the door if I ever needed to, so we used some 3-inch stainless deck screws with washers to attach it. The passive door has a couple 1/2 inch deadbolts to hold it in place when not being opened. You drill a hole in the threshold and another in the upper frame for those deadbolts to slide in and out of. The threshold one at the bottom was no problem, but the upper deadbolt just happened to land in an odd spot on our door, halfway between the French door aluminum frame and the security door upper rail. I used my Dremel tool to cut, sand and grind out a half-pipe shaped section in the French door frame and the wood above it, so that the deadbolt could slide between the security door top rail and the house. I really like these deadbolts, as they are massive and provide a hasp that you could fit padlocks into for added security. I still need to add a pair of door closers to the security door, and do some minor trim and caulking, but essentially it is done. We now have a screen door that even a Great Dane can't bust through, and lets us get a full-height ventilation breeze through. The Unique Home Designs 72 in. x 80 in. Solana White Surface Mount Outswing Steel Double Security Door with Perforated Metal Screen is a pretty stout door, and I would just imagine that you'd need a truck or a winch to rip it off the house to get past it. Would I recommend this door to others? Absolutely! Everyone who has seen ours thinks it is beautiful. My wife and I love it! Thanks Unique Home Designs, and Home Depot!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality Pretty easy to install with minimal tools, must be very careful to keep the door level. It was difficult to get the screws in with the recommended size of pre drilled holes. I used a bit 2 sizes larger. You need a powerful cordless drill or a 3/8 110 volt drill. I recommend the seal kit with the threshold for the bottom and weatherstrip and a seal strip for the top, good value for $40.00

I do have a huge gap between the doors so that the knob barely catches. Luckily the deadbolt holds them shut. During the day you can see out them and people can't readily see in. There was no way to adjust the gap as the top piece inserts into the side pieces which is your frame. They could've fit them a little better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice security door I had some trouble installing the door, not due to the door but due to obstructions. Also, I chose not to use the non-removable fasteners because they are too long and I don't like to make things that cannot be removed. As it was I installed the door several times to get it square and right. The porch had a slope to it and thus was problematical. Also there was a beam for the porch at the location where the door frame had to be. I notched the beam and it worked. The frame did not fasten to structure but just the door frame, so the large fasteners were not appropriate. In the end it looks like a good door but in reality it needs more fasteners for a more secure installation.
