About This Product
Universal Hardware's Commercial 2-3/4 in. Heavy Duty Keyed Entry Lever in Satin Chrome is constructed with a robust cylindrical locking mechanism. This lock is designed for heavy use doors. It is extremely durable mechanically, as well having a durable finish. This lock is as versatile as it is durable and can fit residential and commercial doors of multiple thicknesses. The entry function works great for doors that need to be locked/unlocked from the inside with a thumb turn, and locked/unlocked from the outside with a key for optimal access control and security. This lock is paired with Universal Hardware's Heavy Duty Commercial Deadbolt to create an all in one solution for a replacement or brand new opening project.

What length is the backseat 2 3/8 or 2 3/4?
The UH40032 has a fixed 2-3/4" lever latch backset and adjustable 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" deadbolt latch backset.
Buyers BEWARE! This is the stupidest lock set on the market! Why would you include a deadbolt latch that is adjustable to a 2 3/8" backset but then make the entry backset FIXED at 2 3/4"? Confusing to say the least. Read the fine print before purchasing!
I have one of these handles that broke. I just had it installed last summer of 2023. How do I initiate the broken one for a new one?

Why won?t the lock side of the lever go back into place when you take it off with the pin key? I bought 2 sets and both are defective in that way.

Turn key approximately 80 degrees clockwise and push the lever all the way onto the spindle. Turn key counter clockwise to normal position. I ordered 2 set and they came keyed the same.! I surely didn't want it that way
When i lock the door handle, does it remain locked from the outside when the inside is opened? (Example: I want customers inside the restaurant to be able to leave after closing hours, while people from outside cannot enter.)
The inside lock button has two positions which give you the option to either unlock when lever is rotated to exit or remain locked when lever is rotated to exit.
The lock ha the option to lock both, the outside or neither by turning the lock on the inside handle.
No, once the handle is turned, the lock pops open and stays open.
