This aged bronze storeroom door handle is perfect for confidential storage in a house, office, or airbnb rental property. The key side is not obtrusive and the handle fits in nicely with other residential handles. You should know that this handle is ALWAYS locked on the key side, and NOT lockable from the handle side - ideal for a confidential closet.

Love the bronze look rather than the gold. Very easy to install. I was very pleased with the instructions as they were very easy to follow. These door knobs will go with decor. I am replacing all knobs in my home and I just love the look. They are commercial grade so they should last forever. I am so glad i got these. You cannot go wrong with these knobs.

This is a nice looking doorknob-lockset. Note that it is a store-room doorknob/lockset which means 1) the inside is always unlocked and cannot be locked from the inside, and 2) the outside is always locked, cannot be unlocked except with a key and always requires a key to open. A sort of maximum security from the outside and maximum safety from the inside. We installed it a basement store-room door of a very old fixer-upper house that we have just purchased and are beginning to restore and remodel. This replaced an existing lockset that had been damaged through abuse (probably forcing the door), so the door already had standard dimension holes for mounting the lockset but we had to rebuild the doorjamb side to accept the latch, which meant that we had to cut a relief in the repaired door jamb to accept the striker plate. The instruction sheet stated that only the lever-style lockset had concealed screws. This is a round knob-style lockset, not a leverset, but it has concealed screws, so the instructions were in error in this detail which made installation a little confusing. I followed the part of the instructions intended for the leverset instead and was able to proceed with the installation. To gain access to those hidden screws it is necessary to remove the inside doorknob and cover trim, and that requires you to depress a tiny tab behind the doorknob, which turned out to be difficult. It seems that you have to get everything lined up just right to be able to do that. This lockset felt a little bit rough and stiff at first, so I applied a little graphited lock fluid and now it operates smoothly and easily.

I like the look and feel of this aged bronze door knob. It is designed for use in a place that requires a key to get into but it is always unlocked from the inside. If used with a door closer, the lock guarantees that the door is always locked from the outside. The case that the door is accidentally left unlocked will never happen. This is different from the normal external lock used in the main entrance of a home, where it can be unlocked by turning a switch from the inside. The design is nice and the knob is very well made. The material feels high-end. It functions perfectly. Installation is easy with the included hardware. Overall quality is very good.

This door knob assembly was for a back door making the storeroom door feature perfect to remembering to keep it locked following use. Once the key is removed the door remains locked. The bronze finish gives the door and its surrounding decor a strong, stylish look. The existing door hole for the assembly and the strike plate hole were a perfect match for this knob. The entire assembly was put in place and functional in a very brief period. Once the retaining screws were tightened and the included strike plate installed everything fit perfectly. The entire changeover project took less than half an hour. Complete instructions were included with this assembly and they included a template for cutting a door hole if required.

Make note this lock is NOT for general household use. It is for a storage unit that requires a key to unlock the door. I obtained this for our patio door and discovered after installing it that a key is always required. Pay attention when shopping. Now we just leave the key in the lock at all times & lock the door with a dead bolt. I have installed dozens of locks over the years & this one was terrible. The pin that is included to release the knob for installation is very flimsy. It took over ten minutes for me to get the knob to release the handle so I could complete installation. Do not recommend this door lock for general household use.

This Commercial grade locking door knob set was just the thing I needed for a storage closet in a salon my daughter and I own. Once you shut the door it's locked and can only be accessed by owner of the key ! Keeps the expensive tools a of the trade unaccessible by the others working in salon ! It's not a bad idea to use this in your house if you need a " safe" room ? Just reverse the knob once you enter shut the door THEY can't get to you Needs a key ! I was impressed that there are minimal to no.plastic parts ! It's heavy duty and NO you can't pick the lock we tried My nephew is good at it and can't be done. It's an attractive knob I love the color ! Very well made and heavy duty at a reasonable cost !

Looking for a way to put a keyed-lock on a bedroom or closet door? This is an option. It was so easy to install to simply replace the previous standard closet knob. I needed to be able to lock my bedroom closet to protect the inside in case of theft. I keep a lot of valuable batteries and chargers in that closet, along with a large collection of tools that would be hard to replace, so i needed a locking door knob. i saw that this one was marked "Universal" and decided to give it a try.
