About This Product
The Universal Hardware All-in-One Bronze closer is designed to replace a majority of closer applications that exist in the door closer industry. Packaged with a patented mounting plate that is prepared to allow the installer ease of installation by aligning the plate with the existing door preparation. The adjustable spring tension powers these closers from a Size 1 to a Size 6 (which allows for power adjustment for light to very heavy applications).

According to the chart below, depending on the installation chosen, the opening/closing force may be reduced to size 1 which is 2lb minimum closing force. Door Closers are rated by opening/closing force "Size". The Size ratings are from #1 to #6, with Size #1 the weakest strength and Size #6 the strongest. Can this work on an exterior wooden storm door - mounted between the space of the interior door and exterior door? Width of exterior wooden door is 42" and closure would replace the spring you see in photo. Space between doors is 5 inches.
