Natural light
Our Velux replacement fixed skylight was installed with our new roof in December in our bathroom. ( Previous owners had a skylight installed at some point and it was cloudy with age and in need of replacement. Also, there is no space for a window in this twin home.) I love the sunlight that floods our bathroom every day and also lights up a dark hallway and stairwell!! I don't need to turn on the light when I am home during the day as I am retired. I also enjoy seeing the moon and stars at night thru the crystal clear glass in the skylight. Our roof installer wishes he had one in his home too as he lives in an identical twin house!! I would recommend a skylight to anyone who has a dark stairwell or room without a window. You just can't beat the natural sunlight!!

We could not agree more! The benefits of natural light are astounding and proven beneficial. You may even consider a ventilating skylight in the future as ventilation coupled with natural light creates the optimum living space.

Love my new skylights
Just got done replacing my 8 existing skylights with New Velux units that come with preinstalled solar shades. This combo qualifies for a 30% federal tax credit which brings the cost below the Fixed Skylight cost without the shades. I can't wait to reap the savings on my utility bills too! Skylight were installed by my local Velux dealer who did a wonderful job.

Sturdy construction
Had a Verlux that failed from being ok and replaced with a new one. Really good quality and now a vinyl frame instead of wood. Happy with the purchase.

Love My New VELUX Fixed Skylights
Installed two new VELUX FSC06 skylights with solar powered blackout shades. Love them!! They bring in so much natural light into our living room now that I hardly ever have to turn on lamps in the room. Both shades can be programmed to open and close together. Wonder why I waited so long to add this beautiful addition to our home!

Replaced existing Velux with this unit
These 2 units were purchased as equivalent sized replacement for older failed Velux units. The original units had wood clad interior, very nice looking. These have white vinyl interior trim, which is not explained in the description on line. However, they do look nice. They were not quite an exact replacement, and we did have to cut back the shingle roofing about an inch on all sides to accommodate the flange (deck mount). Also, the flashing kit isn't really designed for replacement, just for new installation, so we had to modify that application, but I'm confident it will work fine and has so far proved watertight in the recent rainstorms here in the PNW springtime.

Replacement of 20 year old Velux
Installed 2 replacement skylights within 5 hours. Very well done and looks great. Glad to get rid of the wood frames and the old type glass. These are much cleaner looking and adds a great deal of light to the room.

Good Look; Quick Install
My roofer recommended replacing my original 20-25 year old Velux skylights when I decided to install a new roof. I was very pleasantly surprised at the affordability of replacing my seven skylights, and also with how quickly the crew was able to install them, even with a minor adjustment to the depth of the interior mating surface. ("Thickness" of new skylight was slightly more than old skylight requiring a half-inch trim of interior surface) Bottom line: I'm very happy with the design, quality and installation of my new Velux fixed skylights and would highly recommend them.
