Product Details

VELUX blinds enhance your decor, improve energy efficiency and provide light control. Room darkening blinds utilize a double-pleated honeycomb structure with an interior aluminum coating to block even the brightest sunlight. Adjust the blind to the desired position to reduce incoming light or block it, making it ideal for bedrooms or TV or entertainment rooms. Many VELUX skylights have built-in Pick and Click. brackets for blind installation, so adding blinds to existing skylights is easy.
  • Control rod for manual blinds (ZXT 200) is sold separately and used for repositioning the blind in applications where the skylight is out of reach
  • FHCC 3046 blinds are designed specifically to fit VELUX 3046 models
  • Important: for FCM 3046 skylights, an accessory tray (ZZZ 199 3046, sold separately) with built-in pick and click brackets is required for blind installation
  • Blind cannot be installed on skylights from other manufacturers or older VELUX skylight models

Q:How do they open and close? I saw the installation video, but no demonstration on how they work. Do you have to be able to physically reach the blinds to open and close them?

A:  Manually operable VELUX shades and blinds will require a (ZXT 200) control rod to push/pull them into position, if not within your arms reach.

    These shades are a game changer! I couldn’t afford them at the time that I purchased all 6 skylights, but eventually bought one for each window. They keep the temperature down in the cottage on hot sunny days. They are pretty easy to install as well. My husband and I were able to do it ourselves. If you are thinking of ordering these.. do it now. We tried to order them last year and because of supply chain issues, our order was canceled with no updates on when they would be back in stock. We tried again last month and they arrived at Hone Depot within weeks.
