Q:Is this a true black?

A:  Hi Barbie, The only way we can describe our matte black finish is that it is black but it is not polished or shiny black. You will not see your reflection.     Q:Does the basket always sit in the drain & is just turned to seal it, or does the basket have to push in & out to work for sealing & draining? Please post photo of bottom of basket & the drain to show the fitting connections - some work easier than others

    A:  Dear Customer, To allow water to drain, you would lift the basket a little but it would not have to tilt to the side for water to drain. To stop water from draining, you would have to push the basket down. There is a little ball lock pin that keeps the basket from dropping or raising on its own.       A:  Thank you for your inquiry Mariale. The VIGO strainer model VGSTRAINERMB can be used with a cast iron sink. The sink would need to have a standard 3 1/2" diameter drain hole for proper installation.

        A:  Thank you for your inquiry William. VIGO faucets have a 7 layer finish and should not chip off the faucet. VIGO also has a lifetime warranty for the faucet finish.
