A:  Thanks for the note, AndyW. This is not an easy question to answer in that there are so many factors involved. The pipe in question has a stiffness factor of 46psi. Type of soil above the pipe (sand, gravel, clay, etc.), will have different weights. Then there's compaction factors of the soils. Will there be concrete above the pipe? If so, more weight, etc. Is the truck or normal pick up or is it a semi tractor? We would suggest that you consult with a geotechnical engineer for his/her input and direction. You might also consult your local codes for suggestions as well. Thanks!
