5 ft. Blonde Wood Flagpole with Anti-Wrap Ring

A:  Holds up fine in all weather, had mine for several years . Faded but still strong.

A:  Yes after a year or so.however it starts to fade and look warn almost like it needs to be sealed

A:  This flagpole looks great BUT I would advise against buying it. After one season it curved so greatly that I almost could not get it out of the holder. I replaced it with a metal pole which is great. Incidentally I had 2 blonde flagpoles, one in northern exposure, the other southern and each did same thing.,

A:  Fine and you can always stain or paint it if it starts to bleach too much. We have rain, sleet, ice, snow here and haven't had a problem with the wood at all. We also think it looks nicer and is sturdier than the other poles, especially since we use it year-round.

A:  Don't know. But my other one has withstood wind and weather plus a good sized flag that's heavier when wet.

A:  husband is a finish carpenter and he says it is maple.

A:  Whatever the wood is, it is very soft and bends with the weight of the flag. I had two of them , one in front of house and one in rear, and both had to be returned after one season because they were totally distorted and bent out of shape. I returned them for metal ones which are working fine. I recommend not buying it.
