RE: Vaughan 16 oz. Ball-Peen Hammer with 13.75 in. Hickory Handle A good solid hammer for the tool box. I keep this in my tool box in my hauler. The hickory handle is durable and has a good feel to it. The head feels balance and is comfortable to swing. I own several claw hammers, but this is my first ball peen. I have the 16-ounce model, which is perfect for my needs. I am also sold on the fact it is Made in the USA and carries a lifetime warranty.

This is a well built American Made hammer. Hickory Handle and 16oz head, this hammer is strong and it does the job well. I really don't have any negative or constructive things to say about this hammer, it's great quality and it feels good in the hand and I expect it to outlast me. The way a good tool should. Lifetime warranty!! I recommend this one and I'm going to add more Vaughan products to the toolbox because of this.

The TC308 Vaughan 8 ounce ball-peen hammer is very well made and I definitely recommend it for the professional who works with sheet metal. It is made in the United States and is a quality tool that will last. The 11.75 hickory handle is strong and grips good. The hammer feels well balanced and the drop forged 8 ounce head if built to last. I was really glad to get it for use in my shop.

A well balanced, basic, yet solid hammer. The head is well made of solid steel, with the handle made of solid, sturdy hickory wood. The not striking portions of the steel head are painted blue. The hammer works well, with the center of gravity mostly near the head, where it should be for leverage. All around a solid addition to your workshop. Made in America!

Another one breaks! So I need another heavier duty hammer, beater, ball ping, etc. I went with this one for couple reasons(happy). Went online, checked some prices, types, reviews of few at couple stores. Wasn't gonna research a 2lb beater to death but curious nevertheless. After looking around I went with this one. I trust HD lot for tools now, especially since about 10 or 11 yrs ago. Do lot of upper/lower cntrl arm, ball joints, suspension work on cars and metal work in the shop. I'm old(50 now!), I gotta have smthn powerful yet light, that's NOT gonna break after a year, OR LESS! I know, it's a lil bit difficult to find. Bought cheapies from "that" store, ended up with broken shafts, heads of hammers flying off the ends, guys diving out of the way in split seconds, and then having to buy more. When I shouldn't have to be! Anyway, because this was made with wood it's light, but this wood they use is seemingly ex quality. The wooden shaft is tough. I've been wrkn w it and beating the mess out of stuff since last week, puttin it to the test(if it's gonna break, I want to know now, like asap), and man, unless there's something I'm missing, this is perfect, for me anyway. I'm hoping it's finally one of those that's still around when I one day stop wrkn as much, like my grandfathers wooden shaft beaters and hammers and other tools were! Pass this thing right on down like he did! This might be one of those that's "made like they used to!"

Well this is a ball peen hammer with a hickory handle. Is is 11.75 inches long and 8oz. It hammers stuff, like if you have something light to hammer. It has a nice weight and feels well made. On one side it is flat and the other side it is rounded. When you swing it into an item, it hits it with force. It fits in my tool bag really nice. American made quality.

I've always wanted a nice ball-peen hammer, and this Vaughan looks like a good one! Nicely crafted tool, clean and smooth finish; balance is very good. I wonder what a 'peen' is? Well so long as I know what it does, it's a nice one. Also I see it was made in the US, so that's a good thing too. This is going to be in my go-to tools for all things that need to be peened!

A cute little hammer. This would be considered a hobbyist tool rather than a heavy duty ball peen hammer. It is a nice and well made product. It has a solid hardwood handle with a secure wedge splice to insure the head is not going to fly away when swinging it. The head is milled and well made. On the end of the wooden handle is a wrap around product label. It looks kind of cheesy but it does act as a non slip grip.

Awesome product!! I love a good hammer and when I saw this one I thought it would be nice to add to my collection. I love that its made in the USA and the handle seems very durable as well. I am a mechanic and using a ballpeen hammer is a big part of my job. the hammer handle is just short enough that it feels like an extension of your arm and long enough that you can make a good swing on a stubborn ball joint or tie rod end. The handle is also fitted very well into the hammer with two steel wedges. I am glad I got this product and look forward to trying more of the Vaughan product line.
