The Small Classic VegTrug is manufactured from 100% FSC certified cedar wood that is treated with a water-based preservative and also features 4 plastic feet covers, making it suitable for growing edible produce outside in all weathers. Perfect for all small spaces, the Small Classic VegTrug is easy to assemble from flat pack and is the perfect solution to growing your own in a limited space. Standing at 80 cm, it is the ideal working height for gardening without bending and compromising posture, allows easy access for wheelchairs and also guards against pests and slugs reaching the crops. The unique V shape means that you are still able to plant a variation of crops, you can grow deep rooted produce in the middle, along with shallow rooted produce towards the front and back. Holding up to 210 l of soil, the Small Classic VegTrug has enough space to grow a wide variety of crops within limited space. A pre-formed liner is included, this will aid in keeping the soil healthy and well-aerated to provide optimum growing conditions. The liner is self draining and is designed to gradually bio-degrade over time.

It works great; gardening skills could be better
Is exactly what I expected; sturdy, easy to assemble and will support the grow of a veggie garden. I'm a first time urban backyard gardener and I have zucchini, cucumber, tomatoes, beans, peas, kale, arugula. Next season I will plant less and try and get bigger plants. I will also make or buy chicken wire wrap to protect from small animals.

Love it! The building instructions were pretty good. The quality is pretty good and it’s holding up pretty good in our Calgary weather!

From excitement to disappointment
I bought one a few weeks ago, put it together and love it. So I decided to buy another one as well as the herb planter. Put the herb planter together and was very happy. The disappointment came when after putting the second vegtrug together we were moving it into position on the Deck and one of the legs snapped in half. I was really disappointed and upset. I really thought I had come across the perfect planter. I guess I should be happy nothing has happened with the other two planters.
What's the saying.......two out of three ain't bad? It's OK to buy but, be careful the legs aren't as tough as you might think.

Easy to assemble; took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. All screws were included, no missing screws which is a huge plus.

This is my second VegTrug which speaks to the quality and usefulness of the product. Home Depot’s price was better than I found elsewhere, and the fact delivery was prompt (and free) made it an even better buy.

Love my VegTrug!! Looks beautiful, especially filled with garden veggies and flowers. Plants are thriving and it is so much easier to take care of them in the VegTrug! I’m thinking about getting a second one for next year!
