A: Teresa, these will have routed holes located on 1 side of post, making post-to-rail connections quick and easy.
A: Janelle, Veranda routed vinyl fence posts are designed for use with Dover and Overland Fence Panels.
A: How do you get 55 1/2 inches? When a fence width is 8ft?
A: Drew, The distance between the holes are 55 1/2" and the hole dimensions are 7 in x 1 1/2 in.
A: I’m not sure, but they look like they might go over a 4x4 post. I installed mine in concrete without using a 4x4 and they are working fine. They’ve been installed two years now.
A: Parson, This post is to be used with the Dover/Overland fence panels. These are designed to be able to support itself without 4x4 posts, unless you are are in a high winded area we offer a wind kit with post stiffener. This is a reinforcement for posts and rails for high wind area (Model # 149051). We also recommend to use 4x4 post inside the post on either side of a gate for added stability.
A: No. Test fitted over a 4x4 there is about 1 of clearance from the wood to the inner walls. I stacked three 2x4 in one and it is a tight fit across the 3. Also the fence stringer needs to fit into the slot. 1st stringer hole is 2 above ground.
