Bracket design changed for the worse
The bottom bracket used to have four holes for screws, now it's only two. It makes the assembly less sturdy, and if you are replacing the old one, you pretty much have to install these upside down so not to expose holes in the post from the old ones.
The top bracket also changed, and while the metal plate adds stability, the bracket itself is thinner and is split in the middle.
Included screws are too short and strip easily.
I guess it's better than nothing.

good product
Everything looked good when it is installed. I would correct the following. (1) the provided screws strips threads, and you have to junk them and get your own quality screws like Simpson or other good brands. (2) the screws that they provide is too short. I would use a longer screw for more safety. (3) they do not provide anchore for concrete.

Great product, easy use, seems very durable, finished project turned out great! You need to find a way to insure the pickets stay in place when you have to cut for length, especially by yourself. Would definitely use it again.

Wasn’t easy for me!!
Bought this kit expecting it to make installation easier. I dont know what happens but it appears to me that they’ve mixed up different styles in this package. Ive read the kit used to show the screws and i believed this kit was not supposed too. The cap had to be altered soi it would fit flush up against the sleeve and the screws still show. Im thinking its either the wrong bracket or the wrong cap. The cap in the picture has not been screwed into the railing yet

These work well, they really should make a 90 degree...
These work well, they really should make a 90 degree bracket to use one post next to stairs for the railing, that’s been my only issue.
