This door is just perfect and am so glad we got it! Contractor installed so not sure about installation but love how it turned out. This is the primed color.

I have french doors and one of the door could not open beyond 90 degrees because of the wall the bumps out a few inches. It was so annoying having to walk around the door or keep it closed which makes the entrance to the bathroom about 18" wide. Luckily, I am slender. Anyway, I finally got the idea to replace the french door with a barn door. I looked all over online, and the 42" wide barn door selection is very linited, and to find one I like was very challenging. I was surprised to find this online at HomeDepot. The pictures from the reviews were so helpful. The bathroom door opening is 42" including the doorframe. This door covers the frame perfectly. Because I mounted this door against the wall that bumped out and the door covers the door frame entirely, I had to made some adjustments to make it work. The right stopper installed in the frame where the door is hung had to be installed in the area where the first 2 bolts are. Otherwise, I would need to get another roller metal bracket to install on the floor. Luckily, we were able to remove the 1st bolt and slipped the stopper in. For the roller bracket that guide the door, keeping it from swing out, we had to install it on the door frame because both the doorframe and this barn door are 42". We cut out portion of the doorframe and added a small piece of wood to keep the roller bracket flush to the part of the frame that sticks out more. Some filling and painting are needed to finish the frame to make it look nice. If the door was wider, I would have installed the bracket on the baseboard, but I would have to cut the quarter round. We did run into one challenge initially is tightening the outer roller in the bracket. Because of the hardwood floor, there is little room to slip a wrench underneath to keep the bolt in place for tightening. We managed to slip a very small wrench and got it to work. One thing to keep in mind for the 42" door. We had difficulty getting it up the 2nd flight of stairs because of the turns. The first turn we had to lift it over the rails of the foyer opening, and for the 2nd turn, thank goodness for vaulted ceiling!!! Overall, I love love love this door. It is heavy and the surface appears to be easy to clean. The metal brackets with wheels were already mounted. I opted not to install the door handle because it wont work for my situation unless it is installed on the side of the bedroom which I dont need. Because the door rolls so easily and smoothly, I can slide the door on the sides, bedroom and bathroom, very easily. Highly recommend this door!!!

This purchase started with an email to the manufacturer with a couple of questions. They responded very quickly and were SO helpful. Even sent me samples because I wasn't sure if I needed the bright white or the off-white. I didn't even know that samples were an option! After receiving the samples I placed my order, which arrived right on schedule. I didn't install it myself, so I can't say how easy or hard it was, but the finished product looks incredible (I purchased a different pull and floor guides separately). There was no door between my bedroom and bathroom vanity area, and this was exactly what I was looking for. If I could give them 10 stars for their customer service I would. Michael, the rep who assisted me, was an absolute pleasure to work with.

Arrived today and took four hours to put up. Beautiful door and the hardest part about putting it up was finding the studs! Highly recommended! Worth the money!

The door is substantial and like a sliding piece of art. Love it.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this door. It is beautiful, well made, great quality. and was easy to install. 4 stars instead of 5 because it has a slight flaw in the paint on one side (the side that's inside the bathroom not out). I didn't notice it until after installation and even if I had I probably would not have sent it back, but for the money it should have been perfect. I hoping I can get some touch up paint. If you are looking for modern spin on the barn door, this is it!

The door is fairly easy to install and it looks great. Waiting for a double doors option.

This door is beautiful, solid, and very simple to put up. A tip on mounting the door: It really requires at least two people for best effect. Mounting at the center of the board is ideal so that you can then level it. Err on mounting it about 1/8" higher than what is recommended, especially if mounting over carpet. As you open or close the door over carpet, any slight deviation will cause the door to drag against the carpet and this will create a friction slowing down the smooth opening mechanism.
