Will this planter hold water rather than soil if filled within a few inches from the top or will it collapse?

I'm not completely sure, but I personally wouldn't recommend it. If you're trying to use it for hydroponic gardening, I think you would be better off with a shallow livestock water trough.

do you have these in 4 foot diameter

Answer

This container comes in a 300 gallon size, which I believe is 58 inches in diameter.

(What's this)
We use raised beds to start off many different types of plants. A breathing fabric type of holder really helps the the youth plants. A 100 gallons is a lot of dirt. Make sure you get this one exactly where you want it. It will not stay in on piece if you try and move it fully loaded. We will using this to grow potatoes. We also got this size because we like to buy our potting soil in bulk. Much cheaper. We have found that just storing the soil on the ground over the course of a year affects the quality, it washes away in the rain and it hard ti dig back up. We will be using the bigger one for storage as well.

(What's this)
These are actually very well made and constructed raised bed planters. The material is 3/64 inch thick material that is strong, durable and pretty much weatherproof, but also breathable which is good for plant root systems just like a raised bed. It is round shaped at 3 ft diameter, with a 2 ft wall height. I flipped the planter inside out to look at the stitching to see if it was done well and I found it was exceptional. The material sown together was both double stitched and hemmed. This shows it was well though out about making sure it would not rip at the sown seams. (See pics) Now there are two handles on this planter, but would recommend once you fill these up with soil, there is really no way to move or pull it with these handles. Nice touch to have handles, but if fully filled with soil would definitely not try to move it by pulling the handles. (See pic)

I do a lot of raised bed gardening, so this aeration raised be planter interested me. It is deeper than I thought it would be - takes a lot of soil to fill it. On the plus side, it holds it's shape well once it is filled, and most importantly, it provides good drainage during periods of heavy rainfall. Because it is self contained there are very few weeds, and the soil remains well aerated. I would recommend this if you want to try gardening but have limited space or poor soil conditions.

(What's this)
Perfect for a mini garden no matter where you're located! I love this mini bed, although it was far more spacious than I thought it would be! I have planted a short row of okra and green beans (with little trellis poles as well), a patch of herbs, a dozen strawberry plants, a row of tomato plants, and a ring of lettuce and spinach plants around the perimeter of the planter, and I sprinkled in some seeds for low ground cover flowers to attract pollinators and to help the soil retain moisture. And even after all of that, I still have some space for a few more plants! It is heavy once you have it filled with soil or whatever planting medium you're using and all of your plants, so make sure that you put in a place that won't be in your way, where it can get plenty of sunlight and is easy to access with water. I would definitely recommend this planter for anyone, whether you're a beginner gardener or a pro, and no matter where you live, but it is particularly great as a patio planter for those in apartments, with limited gardening space. I am a homesteader, and I love this little raised bed on the porch, where I have quick and easy access to my vegetable and herbs, right outside my door!!

(What's this)
My wife is retired and loves to garden and cook. She likes to grow fresh herbs for our use and I thought this product would be ideal. At one point in my life I owned a nursery so I know the benefits of growing plants in this type of container. The plants get plenty of aeriation, fertilizer is more efficient in a container and it is hard to over water in this type planter. An added benefit is that one does not have to bend over very far to weed, maintain or harvest the plants. I filled the container with soil and it is certainly sturdy and designed to handle the soil pressure. Since it is winter, I'll have to wait until spring to see how her herbal garden thrives but I'm sure it will grow well in this planter and I will be ordering more.

(What's this)
This planter is made of very durable cloth like material. This makes it simple to store and place in your garden where desired. It is very large and will accommodate multiple plants at once. The handles on the side will enable quick placement adjustments while the planter is being filled. Once this is full of soil it will be difficult to move around. It is deep enough for root vegetables and large enough to plant a variety or vegetables at once.

100 Gal. Aeration Raised Bed Planter with Handles, It arrived today and is as expected, It is the right size for my potato's about 4'-5' round about 18"-2' deep was hard to measure empty, I would recommend this to a friend. It has meet all my expectations. The only thing I dislike is I wish the walls were stiffer. But I can put it any where in my yard and instant potato garden.

(What's this)
Now I know many people would scratch their heads wondering why would anyone need a 100 gallon planter. However it actually opens up some nice gardening opportunities. In my case, the earth on my California home is rock hard, and will take much time and work to cultivate and make fertile. There is no way I could grow any root vegetables in it. When I try to grow radishes, the radishes actually grow outside of the soil because of how dense it is. Now with this massive raised bed planter, I can just fill it up with the loamiest most fertile gardening soil blended to my satisfaction, and plant potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, radishes, and more without any worry of deformities or rocks in the ground. This is the perfect root vegetable planter!

(What's this)
I had been wanting to do a Hugelkultur addition to my raised beds. When I saw this planter I knew it would be perfect for this application. If you aren't familiar with Hugelkultur, with this method you can grow a typical garden without irrigation or fertilization, has been demonstrated to work in deserts as well as backyards. You use up rotting wood, twigs, branches and even whole trees that would otherwise go to the dump or be burned. I selected the location for the planter. Opened up, the fabric is very strong! However, put it where you want it to stay as with all the wood and or soil, it's quite heavy. Next I cut downed trees to fill 3/4 of the planter, then added potting/top soil to fill the crevices and allow for a top planting area. I then covered with mulch for the winter - getting ready for spring planting. This spring I will plant tomatoes in the bed. They require a lot of water - so this will be a good test of the Hugelkultur method. Depending on the results, I will be adding additional raised bed planters, saving water and using up downed wood! These planters are a perfect solution! I will post pictures later this spring to evaluate how the bed holds up and update.
