Are these pepples suitable for an outdoor dog litter area?

It's a small bag of pebbles, you'd be better off going to a gravel yard and picking up rocks there. The bag is small enough that one person can easily lift it with 1 hand. I suppose if you bought 50 bags, it would be suitable for a dog litter area, but there's a more cost efficient way at the gravel yard.

I didn’t use mine around a fire pit. But I guess I can see how they could explode. Some rocks are porous and can trap air which will heat up and explode. I’d go with a nice splash stone. They’re a little bigger and more of a hard stone.

This is the social answering page. It is answered by customers who have purchased the products you have questions about. You would need to contact your local store directly for any updates on stock availability, or check the Home Depot website where you can search for availability in all the stores within a certain distance from your location. Hope this helps!

Is the $8.99 delivery fee for total delivery on all items delivered

Asked by Chuck July 8, 2020

Answer

No, the $8.99 fee doesn't apply to this item; it's $79 for your entire purchase, which is reasonable to this item. I had 2 pallets delivered curbside for that, which saved me lots of work.

When will you be restocking your stores with this item? It seems like you are always out of it!

If I order something online how can I apply my military discount?

Unless (or until) Home Depot changes its policy, there is no military discount for online purchases. Lowes currently offers online discounts for registered military members (although it has changed from time-to-time over the last couple of years).

Appreciated the help from the 2 gentlemen employees that loaded my 37 bags for me. Project was a great success!

They cheat you on the amount of stone.
I ordered 70 bags that were supposed to be 0.5 cubic feet each. 70 bags at 0.5 cubic feet each equals 35 cubic feet. When the pallet was delivered, I measured to make sure that I received the full amount. There were 70 bags, but it measured out to be about 28 cubic feet instead of 35 cubic feet, which is only about 80% of what it was supposed to be. I checked all of my measurements twice, but just to be really sure, I dumped one of the bags into a bucket and measured the contents. It was about 0.4 cubic feet, which confirms my measurements of about 80% of the advertised amount, which means they are cheating you out of 20% of the stone. In other words, you need to get (and py for) 25% more bags to get the full amount that you need to complete a job. When I called Home Depot to bring it to their attention, they told me that I have to call the manufacturer. Nice try Home Depot: You are the manufacturer!

Price Goes Up 47% and Quality Plummets
Bought these a few weeks ago for $3.38 a bag. Went back this week and the price was $4.98 -- a 47% increase in price. The pebbles in the first purchase were clean with negligible sand and no gravel. The second batch was awful -- full of sand and tiny gravel. After screening 10 bags through 1/2" hardware cloth I ended up with a wheelbarrow full of sand and gravel (see pictures). If I had wanted sand or pea gravel I would of bought them instead. At $3.38 a bag it was already more expensive and a landscape supply store, but it was worth the convenience of being able to buy a few bags at a time as needed. At $4.98 a bag and getting awful product it's total rip-off. Done with HD for pebbles!

Nice looking pebbles/stones.Great price.
We replaced an overgrown lava rock bed with these pebbles and stones and are very happy with the new look. For just less than $100 we replaced the approximately 60 sq ft area with the stones, weed barrier and staples. The estimated number of bags needed on the bag was pretty accurate. We did need to make two trips to our local Home Depot because of the heavy weight and use of a four door sedan. The bed had not been replaced in about thirteen years. The mixed colors of the stones/pebbles blends well with the rest of the building. Great price great product!

I purchased these pond pebbles to go around bed of my home. I had bought 200 bags before now and they were good but today I sent my handy man to pick up 100 more we ordered. He picked up 50 to back for another 50. When he brought them home and put some out, they were different. Same bags, same SKU, etc. But it's completely a different color rock!!!!! Looks terrible! I hosed it to clean it but still very dark, different and ugly rocks. Now I am not sure how to find the right color to complete my work. So disappointed

Lovely landscaping rocks
Very happy with these pond rocks, used as walk way/ patio border. My pictures don't do the colors justice, they're beautiful reds, browns, oranges, off-white, etc. And a nice variety of shapes and sizes. I feel they're a good value, especially when buying in bulk. Also the size is great- not too big, not too small. Recommend and would use again.

Great color
These worked out nicely for our new landscape design. Once you rinse the rocks, the colors looks great. Size filled the area out nicely and stays in place.
