Picture of rocks is wrong
Great product. I never would have bought it if I hadn't seen it in the store. The color in the picture is totally wrong. It's not that golden brown color. It's various shades of gray.

Vigorous River Pebbles for Landscaping
I am currently working on a Harry-homeowner project re-purposing my broken and shattered slate stone walkway into a newly designed one. I am utilizing Vigoro River Pebbles as the bordering edge of my new slate walkway. I prefer using River Pebbles as landscaping around the entire perimeter of our house and shrubbery versus mulch or other like products as it not only looks good esthetically but lasts forever. It also makes it easy for insect control. As seen in the provided pictures the project is well underway and will be completed soon. I just need to pick up another order of River Pebbles and some of the black plastic border edging from Home Depot to make the transition back to the edge of the lawn.

Inconsistent sizing
I ordered the exact product (Vigoro Pond Pebbles) maybe about 6 months to a year ago. I know because I have an e-receipt. I used it to fill in a drainage area. The typical bag when I bought it earlier was maybe 70% medium pond stones and 30% smaller gravel-sized bits. The current bag I bought is more like 70% smaller stones and 30% medium sized. The darker still damp stones are the newer mix in the picture.

Not even remotely like the picture
Ordered 12 bags from local Home Depot and what they gave me was not even remotely like the picture online. Sure the SKU matched but it clearly wasn’t the same product. The stones in the bag were a dark dirty brown/black color and a quarter of the size shown here. They wouldn’t even let me look at the pallet above where they grab these bags from to see if those were better.
I ordered over 50 bags of these last year and those were as shown online but not these.

I’ve purchased 60 bags so far
I’m putting in a 1,000 sq ft raised bed garden and have been moving these bags in a dozen at a time (so I can get the bulk price). They are messy, but it’s outside. Run a little water over them and the mess goes away. I love the mixed colors. They look sharp against my raised cedar beds. Happy with my purchase.

Upscales any yard. The formula printed on the bag was helpful in determining how many bags I needed to use to cover my space. If you can lift 48lbs, you'll get a good workout laying them down and spreading the pebbles out
