Q:Are the Kyra resin planters suitable for growing vegetables?

Answer This Question

A:  Absolutely

Q:There’s drainage holes that drain to the saucer, does the saucer drain? It looks tight. Does water just stay there or will it seep out? Maybe I need to add holes to saucer? Pot is deep so not sure.

A:  The saucer does not have drainage holes and if watered appropriately, the water will not seep out. You do have the option to remove the attached saucer, carefully.

A:  Pot is terrible for indoor use. I repotted a large plant into this pot but didn't want to water it outside because it would be too heavy to bring inside. There is no side hole to measure how much water is in the pot and I had a disaster all over my kitc

            Small and flimsy
Very plain and not very decorative, pot is flexible and not real solid. The finish is a little rough and will likely be hard to dust without leaving fuzzy’s on the surface. Would not recommend to use outside in the sun. This planter would work best for an indoor small house plant, maybe even to put a pre potted plant into it leaving the plant in the original pot
            Nice Pot
This is a good little pot. It is very light and easy to handle and move around. If you want a small pot for your house this would be a great selection. It hasn’t leaked any water since I have used it. This is a very reliable and stable pot for your house plants or your outside plants also. This is a good purchase if you need a new small pot for your plants.

            Pot and tray in one
It’s a plastic plant pot. The plastic is quite flexible and seems to be a decent quality, you would definitely be able to reuse this a few times. The pot is black in color. The pot also has a tray which is held together with plastic pips so it would make the pot more suitable for indoors use. Both parts actually blend in together so you may not even notice there were 2 parts to it.

            Kyra Small Planter
The Kyra planter arrived in good condition, was packaged well and had no damage. The planter itself feels durable and I really like the matte black finish since it goes with all my outdoor decorative accents. It is a good size for the Dahlia plant that I just purchased and looks soo good together. Since I was using this outside I made sure I could remove the tray and realized it had little buttons. I was able to turn the pot so it sat on top of the buttons allowing room for any excess water. If it is being used indoors you would turn the pot so the buttons clicked inside the holes so there was no gap. I appreciated that it was dual purpose in case I decide to use it inside with a faux plant instead. I also liked that Home Depot carries this pot in a larger size so I could get matching pots for my patio. Overall this is definitely a good pot for indoor or outdoor use and I do recommend it.

My hibiscus bush fits perfectly in the clay resin planter with an attached saucer. It is lightweight. I used potting soil.

Great size for in door plant
I like the size of it, personally I find the bottom tray a bit hard to detach, it wasn't twisted lock. I have to pile it apart using a small screw driver. All in all, the planter itself is a bit on the light side. I placed the plant with its original pot inside, I usually take the plant out, roughly 30lbs, when I need to move it, as I do afarid that I might crack the planter if I squeeze on it too hard.

Complements the landscaping around our pool
This planter is solidly made and should last for many years to come. Unlike the planter pictured on the left, it comes predrilled to allow drainage after heavy rains and overwatering. The material is high-density plastic, so it should resist the extreme hot and cold weather conditions we experience in the southern United States. Just waiting for planting season after the late frosts to put it to use.

            Excellent function and beautiful form
The Kyra large resin planter not only looks nice but is actually larger than expected. It was deep and sturdy enough for my little mimosa tree. It's also light enough to be moved quite easily while I decide the best place for it. It would look good on the porch or patio. I did use recycled plastic bottles in the bottom. I'm not sure how it will do in the summer heat here (at times > 110 degrees) so I placed it on a plant stand with wheels just in case. I am considering getting a couple more. Highly recommend!

            New Home For A Hibiscus
This Vigoro 20 in. planter is very light weight and sturdy. It came well packaged with no defects in the material. Its size makes it well suited for growing bigger and taller plants like my hibiscus that was root bound in its former planter. I have included a picture showing the size difference of the two pots. Also, the old planter was very heavy and hard to move. Leaving the rootball of the hibiscus intact, it took approximately 2 cubic feet of garden soil to fill the new planter to the top. I put the planter on a 4 wheel dolly for easier transport. Once summer comes, it will be placed in a maximum sunlight area and removed from the dolly. There is a built in saucer bottom for drainage. It will be interesting to see how well the planter's material will hold up in my areas sun and heat. That's usually what damaged some of my former planters.

            Great for bigger plants
Love the size of this container. Also the fact that it has built in drainage to avoid over watering. Definitely plan on using for either a tomato plant on my deck or just filling with flower seeds. This planter can be used for several things. Currently using as storage for my garden stuff due to being to cold to plant outdoors yet. Has plenty of room for doing multiple plants.
