Color doesn’t last
Put about 15-20 bags of black mulch down on a Sunday. Raines that might and less than 24 hours later the mulch is more gray than black. Disappointed

    Faded within a couple of weeks
    Bought about 200 bags of brown in the last few weeks. For the most part color is fine at first and consistent in appearance. It was very surprising that just in a couple of weeks an entire section’s color faded. About 200 feet by 4 feet so not very happy.

      Waterlogged, wrong color
      Bought 100+ bags. Used it for years, never had a problem except color lasts a few months at best. Got it on sale, but needed more. HD ran out, no stores near me had any. Sale off, now rhey have plenty. Bought 30 more bags. Didn't look right...but thought it needed to dry. 3 days later, I find it was mislabeled - brown mulch, NOT RED. Now have to find more red somewhere to cover up rhis mess. This isn't a dye lot variation - it's brown mulch in bags labeled "Red Premium". It's neither. No more!

        Worst mulch ever stay away
        This is not mulch, purchased 15 bags of this so called mulch. It’s nothing but sticks and large chunks of wood partially died. Looks terrible will never purchase a Vigoro product again.

          Not black enough
          We have purchased this in the past but this year we are very disappointed. The mulch is not black enough there are too many uncolored pieces. If we had a truck to bring it back it would all be returned. What a waste of money and time.

            Faded within 3 Days
            I've used this mulch for years with no issues. Put 10 bags down and within 3 days, it is now a light brown color and looks like it just suffered through the winter. Avoid using this. It's infuriating to have to redo all these flower beds with another product. What a waste of money. Photo added to show what you can expect within 72 hours of using this product.

              Not satisfied
              Mulch lost its color after 1 day. I expect mulch to look dark brown for two months at least. Store refuses to refund with a receipt .

                Horrible..Needs to be 0 Stars
                This is the farthest thing from "Premium Mulch"! it's ground up dyed pieces of lumber. There's zero break down of this product as you would expect a Premium Mulch to be. it's freshly ground scrap wood along with whatever else they can throw together and then dyed black to make it look like real hardwood mulch.

                  Molded faded mulch
                  We purchased 24 bags of mulch last night . Put it down the next morning. Less than 24 hours the mulch is now faded to a light brown from a pitch black color. Faded. Molded mulch. Do not buy.
