I’ve read that impure vermiculite contains asbestos (i.e. from the plant in Libby, MT). Does this product contain traces of asbestos? Tha k you

Asked by: DrewP
Drew: I'd be just as concerned as you if I thought that was true. I've been using it for year in my garden and I've never found anything in any of the bags I bought other than the mulch I love. Keeps the soil cooler in the summer warmer in the winter and it looks good. If you put on a thick layer you'll have a lot less weeds and that's a win win any way you look at tit. Hope that helps, Hank

Maybe as it holds water but you'll have to mix it with other soil amendments as it's pretty loose material.
