A: 15.98 looks to be the measurement between the top curls rather than the 10 inches given for the posts that insert into the dirt in the pot.

A: Mine fit into a 10 inch pot. Maybe my pot is not as tall as yours. Because the top part would not fit into the 10 inch pot.
