I bought this back in Jan 2021 and surrounded a inground trampoline then placed mulch on top. I pretreated the bare ground with veg killer and then sprayed it regularly for weeds and grass. This barrier allowed the bermuda grass to form a network of roots underneath and 18-19 month later (today Oct 2022) I had to rip out all of it because it was just so unbearable to keep the grass and weeds from coming up. The mat is worthless and do yourself a favor and use chemicals to treat the area and to maintain it. I would never touch this stuff again unless it was to block a chain-link fence etc. I have attached two images so you will know what you will be put through if you use this. First one is when I thought it would work and the second is today after all the labor to tear it out, treat then re-apply rubber mulch in the upcoming days without that mat that protects and lets grass and weeds grow like wildfire underneath your nose!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did not work around my pool in pgh pa
All the trouble to place this and secure it around the pool to prevent weeds and it did not work...you can see weeds growing straight thru the teeny holes...there is a better fabric more of a felt...I will get that kind next time.:(

      Waste of time and money!
Home Depot weed blankets are not recommended. It cost me hundreds of dollars to purchase the weed blankets and stakes to hold them in place. I even double-layered them. After that, I spent over a thousand dollars on mulch. In addition, I spent countless hours working on this project. However, several weeds were able to grow through the weed blankets. There is a great deal of difficulty in pulling weeds from weed blankets. The root of the weed is almost impossible to remove. Most of the time, they simply break and regrowth takes place. If you are contemplating whether or not to lay down weed blankets in your yard, I recommend that you find a reliable brand online. A product that is covered by a warranty or guarantee. While it may be a bit more expensive at first, it will save you time and money in the long run.

        NOT Weed Control,
This is not a weed control product. Weeds grow right through this unhindered, as matter of fact the only thing this weed control barrier did do was make it harder to pull the weeds. Trying to remove the product is almost impossible, spent hours with a rake trying to separate the weeds only to have it tear off little pieces and rip apart. Way better off without it, by far the worst thing of every purchase from Home Depot.

Not all the way weed proof
My husband and I just redid the front of our house flower bed with this to help control weeds from growing up and not even two weeks later they are back.

Complete waste of money and time
This stuff is total garbage. I spent several hours putting this in a large flower bed last Spring, then covered it with a couple of inches of bark mulch. These beds are rarely walked on, but within 2 weeks it was completely falling apart. I finally had the time to remove it all this weekend. Now my flower beds are full of tiny bits of black fabric that I will be picking out for years. So not only is it a huge waste of time and money, it has also littered my flower beds.

Blocks about 10% of weeds with a double layer
It seems to only block 0-10% of weeds. I put down 3' x 8' test area of two layers of this Vigoro weed block and wood chips over the weed block.

                Don't waste your money
Horrible product and, of course, once cut can't be returned. With all of the rain we have had lately I haven't even found the right time to pull the weeds. At this point I will just hope they come up when I replace all of the "weed block". Really irritating that I have to move all of the lava rocks and start from scratch. I notice that the manufacturer hasn't replied to all of the other folks in the same boat. Wasted time and money for 3 rolls of this crap.

                  Did not block weed
Waste of time and money. I have to redo everything with a thicker barrier.

The fabric is light weight and super easy to roll...
The fabric is light weight and super easy to roll out and cut. I used a box knife to cut the fabric to size and cut around roses I had planted already. So far it’s blocking out the weeds and grass that was growing in my garden.
