30 in. W Under Cabinet Range Hood in Stainless Steel

I bought this back in August I have followed all the guidelines when cleaning and have been extra careful only using soap and water and a microfiber cloth. I purchased the black stainless steel thinking it was going to last to my surprise it’s peeling off like a sticker and to no effort. Very disappointed with this brand and this purchase.

Very attractive and quality is very good. The black stainless is just what I needed in my kitchen. Vented fan has 3 speeds and works very well. Lights give off more than enough light.

This is a good looking hood once installed, but it wasn’t a 1.5 hour install. A second set of hands might make a difference, most certainly someone to share the frustrations. Fastening the hood to the hanging brackets was the most challenging because the self tapping screws are very short, the hole are not perfectly aligned and access is not “head on”. Tip #2, pre-tap the holes in the hanging bracket with the appropriate screws before placing the bracket; once done it might be possible to start the screws by hand when placing the hood. Install complete, the hood looks good. There is a rough feel to the surface I expected to clean away, but neither windex nor bar keeper’s friend has touched it. Its most notable when cleaning with a micr-fiber cloth. Finally, there a tin chatter on fan levels above the lowest. No doubt from the very flimsy damper (included). That may dissipate in time as grease will inevitably accumulate on the gate. So time will tell, but I’m satisfied with the finished install.

Fabulous air flow, nice appearance, tricky when used for replacing a Broan. Our 12 year old Kenmore Elite/Broan rear ducted range hood died suddenly, so we tried this replacement hood. The external dimensions were the same except for this Vissani was a half inch less from top to bottom. Overall, the Broan was of heavier duty construction, but this Vissani hood functions much better. Installation was tricky because the Broan rear duct is off centered by 1 inch, plus the rear duct damper that comes with the Vissani is made pretty wimpy. Therefore, I had to use the damper from the Broan and drill new mounting holes in the rear of the Vissani hood, plus cut the metal opening 3/4” wider on one side of the Vissani. The Broan rear damper has very wide frame ends on each side, so this covered the 1” exposed duct hole opening on the one side. Also I had to drill a new wiring opening in the rear of the Vissani to allow for the location of existing wiring coming out of our wall. Once the Broan damper was installed on the Vissani, it was still a two man job to get the hood lined up to fit into our existing wall damper receiver frame. Once the hood was installed directly to the underside of the cabinet, the wiring connected and the grease shield installed, the first test of the fan was really amazing. This hood will suck a paper napkin easily out of your hand when running on high. Yes, this fan is not as quiet as a Broan, but it is 350 cfm versus 250 cfm for the old Broan. So this Vissani works great! The overall external finish is good, the black stainless does look nice. The included filters are far better than the old Broan screens. The only sad part really is the light has only one setting, a dimmer light setting choice would be nice. The included LED lights do work great, though. Yes, despite the needed modification for the rear duct damper, I would still buy this model again. Good luck!

We weren't sure when we bought this, but it We werent sure when we bought this but it exceeded our expectations! the light on it is amazing and very bright and the fan is actually extremely powerful, especially compared to our old unit. very happy with the purchase!

Perfect fit. Installing was easy with the brackets included for one person to install. The look is amazing! Volume of air movement with 3 speeds is incredible. LED lights are very bright. No regrets with this purchase.

What a piece of junk. Nothing else to say. Now have to waste more time returning this.

Good brushed-stainless range hood with back-venting and top-venting options. (I needed back-venting.) The metal is thin and is susceptible to bends and dents but looks spiffy once installed. Fingerprints wipe off with Windex. Buttons are robust and mechanical rather than digital. It is hard-wired, but not difficult to install for an amateur who is comfortable with very basic residential electricity. Lights work well and fan is reasonably quiet. HOWEVER, I do not advise using the one-person bracket installation approach. After spending far too long installing the brackets and trying to wrestle the range hood on to them (and cutting my hand on the sharp edges of the metal), I gave up, took the brackets down, and just installed the range hood directly to the cabinet by holding it up with my back. It was not comfortable, but it worked, unlike the "one-person install" brackets. ALSO, several of the direct-install screws are located where an ordinary screwdriver or drill will not fit, so you will need a short/stubby screwdriver in addition to the expected tools.
