Shoddy Workmanship
The banisters on the rails that we purchased were tilted on at least one end due to shoddy workmanship. The bannister's fell off when straps we're removed after cutting because the nails that were to hold them in place completely missed the mark. These were obviously just thrown together. After repairing them and installing them they look good. Obviously there is no quality control at the manufacturer.

Wood warped
Overall look is good. However, the bottom rail on one of the sections warped badly. It no longer makes contact with the anchor point.

Vista cedar railing
Had I known the extreme difference in color of the wood, I would not have purchased. The pine cedar tone at least has color one color throughout and more economical.

Horrible consistency in color and grain
If you considering using ANYTHING other than a solid stain DO NOT buy this product. Other than 3 (out of 12) of the rails being severely warped there is an extreme variation in the color and grain of the wood. also heavy mill glaze requires sanding

I gave it a 4 star only because a couple of rails didn't even come close to matching the others color wise. So I did my best to kinda hide the ones that did not match.. I also had to cut a few to fit the deck depth so that took care of some of that problem. A couple required sanding which led me to sand all of them just to get all the rough edges off. After all It's a mass produced wood product and I expected as much. I have nothing but compliments from the neighbors as to the look as well as how they are made'..Would I buy them again? Absolutley....

We bought 6 kits and the wood was different shades in each set so when we stained it the final shades are different. The wood is very weak and one of the rails crack when I put the specified screws into the end to hold the plastic mounting bracket on. Not impressed at all with these rails.

Incorrect height
I bought these to install as a deck railing. They were approximately 39 inches in height when assembled not 42 as specified.
