Hello, The Hammock can be either hung on Trees using Tree straps or if you have poles in your patio use straps to hand this Hammock on the poles. If you are considering Hooks to hand it, the the distance between the 2 poles or hooks should be a minimum of 144 inches. Thank you.

Yes. Although this particular hammock I used the leather strap options and tied it between 2 grapefruit trees. A stand could be used as well but only if you do not have trees to tie.
