Punch a hole with a drill bit then use a jigsaw to cut around the side.

Mine was new. I had to have the top cut out so I could burn in it.
It would depend on the size of the log. If they are the size of fire wood I would say yes.
Thank you for your interest in our 55 Gallon Drum! The DR55 barrels have been used, cleaned and then bead blasted. The DR55 drums have not been painted so there may be small areas of surface rust that can easily be sanded out. We recommend the barrel be painted with a high temperature stove paint for the best look!
These are sealed barrels. and they will hold fluid.
This can be done by several metal cutting tool and but the easiest would be a metal sheer after drilling a pilot hole. we do not have a topless barrel.
