The VH202 Personal Vortex Heater is designed to circulate heat specifically around your personal space making it perfect for desktop, tabletop or under desk heating applications. The surprisingly powerful, yet quiet fan wraps you in comfortable superheated air. The Personal Vortex Heater uses Vornado's signature Vortex Action to wrap you in warm comfort, yet occupies less than 7.5 in. in any direction. Vornado electric heaters are more energy efficient thanks to unique Vortex action which disburses heat evenly throughout the room. The VH202 features 2 heat settings giving you control of your heat. A fan only mode allows this circulator to provide comfort even on temperate days. This personal heater features a cool touch case that doesn't get hot even after extended operation, as well as a tip-over switch that immediately cuts the heat and fan if the heater tips.

what is temperature coming from heater
Low end is 93 degrees, and the top end is 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
How long would it take for this heater to warm a 9x9 enclosed room, no windows?
There are a lot of variables in that question the biggest being about how much of a gap between room temperature and desired temperature there is to close. These heaters are designed as supplemental heat so if it is only trying to close a five-degree gap then this space might take 30-45 minutes.
I want to leave this in the storage compartment of my camper to keep pipes from freezing , so it will be unattended most of the time . Can you set the thermostat and leave it for a couple days at a time?
If you do it safely as in nothing flammable near it along those lines I don't think there would be a problem however only you can make those decisions
No. It has a safety feature where if it tips over it will shut off. I wouldn’t suggest any portable heat source be left unattended.

Does it have a thermostat? I am heating a small storage room(50sf for liquids), that is subjected to freezing temperatures. This heater would be the only heat source 24/7. If this little guy isn’t recommended then what do you recommend. Don’t want to spend a fortune. Needs to be reliable so water pipes, paint, etc. don’t freeze. Thanks
I would go to the manufacturers web page and see what they say. This is my second one in five years so yeah I'd say it's dependable it helps to follow manufacturers directions regarding the unit
It does have a thermostat, however our heaters require existing heat from your furnace for them to work properly as they are intended for supplemental heating only.
It does not have a thermostat. It has three temperature settings: low, High, and fan only. It shuts off if it tips over or gets too hot. For my useage, a thermostat is not important. I run it every night all night, and it is very quiet and has been amazingly durable. Still runs like new and is several years old. Recommend it very highly.
Would the controls allow it to work with a smart plug? It seems like the flip switch would work fine, but just want to confirm.

You will need to plug it in. It works great for a small to medium sized bedroom or office. It has a high and low heat as well as just a fan setting. Great value!
This is a fully plug in unit (no battery option available) I recommend this unit, I use it under my desk at work and it kicks out heat. It has three settings, low heat, high heat, and just fan. Hope that helps!

How long can I leave it running?
We run ours 24/7 during the colder weather. We actually have 3 of them and have one we have run continuously for months at a time for our cats. The only downside is that you will wear out the fan in a year or so by the continuous use. We have wore out 2 of them doing so.
