I'm thinking of putting these in concrete in small buckets to use as weighted tie downs for a canopy. The West Texas winds tend to blow our canopies away! Would you recommend this size or one larger? There will be a total of 4 tie downs. My husband has challenged me with saving our new canopy! HA!!
Asked by: Laurie
Laurie the anchor should work fine if you are using a large enough bucket of concrete, those west Texas winds get very strong at times.

Is there any product that is a smaller version of this?

Some type of spiral stake or anchor that isnt quite this heavy duty?
Asked by: Travis
If you need something smaller in the sense being used for a lightweight project you might get by with the ground anchors used for pets from your local pet store.

Would these be sufficient to hold down a tent in sand, like on a beach?

Asked by: Chris
Yes, but you may want to try something longer or lighter (such as Plastic) if you are going to a beach where strong winds are common.

Can you use these to attach a greenhouse to the ground?
Asked by: New2Gardening
Yes we used 3 of them to anchor a 6 by 8 foot hexagon shaped greenhouse. Used cable and fasteners to finish the anchoring job.
