Can this be used to oil an electric motor that is being used to power a house fan?
Asked by: Al
I would think you could, but you might want to contact the manufacturer of the motor. If it had a drawback, I would think it would be that WD 40 would only be a temporary solution, compared to the oil used by a repairman.

I have an old Hayward pool pump and the back cover won't come off due to rust. Will this help loosen it up?
Asked by: Mera
yes.. spray on the affected area and then exercise patience ..let it set for 24 hrs ,soak it again , usually two good soakings will loosen the back enough to get it off.

Can i use this to lubricate a shredder. Maybe by adding it to paper and then shredding hat paper?
Asked by: KHH
I would not recommend, it will hold on to the paper and you will get even worse paper jams.

My lasko 18 " cyclone adjustable fan has stop spinning.

But I can't get to the motor so I could service it because the nut screw. Has worn-out and I'm limited on tools
Asked by: Biggz
the problem is in the switch, not the fan! unplug the unit and check the wiring in the switch. use a multimeter to check continuity thru the switch connections.
