Q:Can this be used on patio sliding door that seems to be ‘heavy’/a little bit hard to slide open

Answer This Question

A:  Maybe something less tacky? Lithium grease will attract dirt and debris gumming up the works. Try a spray solvent first and then a dry silicone instead. Also check the rollers under the door for clearance. They adjust up and down with via a jack screw. Good luck.

    A:  Wouldn’t use it for that - leaves greasy residue - use silicone or wd-40 instead

      A:  No. It remains oily. It’s also white in case you didn’t know like I did. It looks horrible if you spray it in plain view.

        A:  Hi, thanks for your question. WD-40 Specialist White Lithium Grease is an aerosol grease that sprays on as a liquid. It works in temperatures up to 220C/430F and supports high pressures usages but does not have the same consistency and intended utility as some thicker grease products.             Great can of instant grease
            Stumbled across this while looking for a tube of white grease. I have an elderly neighbor with a neglected passenger window, that had been wired OPEN for 3 years, due to the motor burnt out and switch smashed. After installing a new window motor & switch, I applied break free, then this white lithium to the scissor mechanism & rollers operating the passenger window. Worked great. Also used it on the tracks that operate the 2000 Chevy Venture sliding passengers doors and got them operational again as well. Highly recommend.

            Can leaked when spraying, big mess
            Flipped up the spray nozzle, snapped into position, start spraying, it leaked like crazy from under the lid. Literally more leaked than was spraying. Very bad experience with this product.
