This spray rusted out my switch
I had high hopes for this product. But instead within 2 days of spraying, my switch was destroyed by the rust WD-40 caused. This is a special OEM spring activated Weed Eater switch so now I'm stuck with a useless Weed Eater. Do not buy this spray.

A Key Aid to Electrical / Electronic Maintenance
These cans are well-pressurized and the narrow stream can reach those near-to-inaccessible surfaces. The fluid cuts through oxides and grime fast. It is highly aromatic and dries quickly, leaving no residue. Use it liberally. Keep several cans on hand. It is most disappointing to runout in the midst of a task. This is one of my favorites for troubleshooting and restoring relays and contactors.

Does it's job
Nice effective contact cleaner. As the description says, does it's job without leaving any residue behind. Not much more you can ask of this type of product. Near as I can tell, no affect whatsoever on plastics, which is a good thing.

The WD-40 Contact Cleaner did seem to clean, and free...
The WD-40 Contact Cleaner did seem to clean, and free up, the pots (potentiometers) on our recording studio mixer, however, it did leave a visible residue when sprayed on heavily. We cleaned surfaces well before spraying, but streaking may still have been due to some dust flow. It also took longer to evaporate than the similar CRC Contact Cleaner we’ve used in the past. It cost less than the CRC brand and did the job, but we may go back to the CRC brand next time.
