WEN 3/16 inch straight router bit This is a straight 1-flute carbide tipped router bit with a 1/4 in shank. I’m impressed with the strength and quality of this bit. The 1/4 inch shank fits securely in my router. It routes a nice clean cut. The carbide tip is strong and sharp. The container that it comes in holds the shank securely and the cap keeps the bit from touching anything while storing or carrying it. I’m very happy with this bit.

For the price, this is hard to beat. I actually use a 1/8" bit a lot for inlay banding. This isn't the cleanest cutting bit I own, but it is by far the least expensive. I use this at the rough milling stage so I don't need super clean cuts, as long as there is no significant chipping I'm good. If you don't have room for a little clean up. take super light passes and lower the speed a bit. This is the fault of a single flute but unless you want a spiral bit, there isn't much you can do about that in a 1/8" bit. The most important thing is it is true to size. I've run about 60 feet of various North American hardwoods over this and so far there has been no decrease in performance.

As a DIY user this seems to fill the bill. Worked well cutting the narrow dados I needed. Made two passes to the depth needed with no problems. Have bought other WEN bits and have no complaints. Individual packaging for easy storage and ID.

Used in router to cut 1/8 masonite board for 64, 6 inch cuts. Bit was dull and could hardly cut by the end of project.

Worked great. Used it to make a cut for splines in a box. Made a nice square flat cut. Looking at the picture I wasn’t sure if I’d get a full 1/2 in cutting depth, but there certainly was. Plus ordering from Home Depot has always been great.
