2 ft. H Adjustable Tilting Steel Portable Workbench and Vise with 8 Sliding Clamps

I absolutely love this workbench. It's perfect for my porch fencing project. I'm really glad I spent the money for it and I'll use it for every project I have in the future.

The table itself is pretty solid. But the cross supports are made of a very thin metal. The first time I put my foot on one of them to raise the table it bent, "a lot" so I removed them and put a couple of 2 x 4's in for cross support and now it is pretty strong. I did have to lube up some the movable sections to get it work easier. I still think it is a good product and should work out well for my home projects.

I’m sure it will be a decent product once I figure out the pics, and what goes were. Its like a picture book instruction manual with no corresponding nunbers to the parts. It would be easier to “Remember WEN” if I knew how!

It came well packaged. The instructions were easy to use and everything was their. I like the table top and how the vice adjustments work on both sides of the table. It's easy to use and adjust up and down .it folds up quickly for storage and takes up little space. I gave it a 4 rating because the tilt feature is a little tricky for me to use. I have a little difficulty holding in both side knobs and tilting the table. Other than that it does everything it's supposed to.

Very good light to medium duty workbench. Although the immediate work space is small, the adjustable height allows the table to be used in combination with sawhorses, etc and it is very stable. Assembly is moderate, requiring placement of multiple bolts. Make sure the pre-drilled height adjustment notches/holes on the table height arms are facing the front of the table; this allows the height adjustment pedal to swing its teeth into the holes to lock the movement. The table itself has a back edge that slides by manual adjustment using two flippers under the edge. Workpieces can then be clamped into the vise by spinning the front handles (these must be turned simultaneously and opposite of convention - to the left to tighten). The orange rubber clamps can be moved side-to-side along grooves and those on top can be rotated by 45 degree increments and locked in place. The table can also tilt for an angled work space. Finally the legs and table can fold down for transport or storage.

I have seen these over the years and thought that it was a brilliant idea. When my sister bought a couple of chest of drawers with drawers that needed fixing, I decided that I needed one of these workbenches to get the drawers back in shape. The only thing that puzzles me is that "righty tighty; lefty loosey" doesn't work with the cranks that tighten and loosen the vice that holds the materials; crank it left it tightens and right it loosens. It does tighten nicely to hold the material and loosen to release the material. Even the thinnest of materials.

The Wen workbench is quite the versatile tool for just about any project around the home. The workbench is constructed of both steel and aluminum. The bench top is constructed of aluminum and the rest of the structure is steel. Out of the box: There is some assembly required. You will need metric wrenches, sockets on a power driver will help assembly go faster. It took my about 20 minutes to complete the assembly. The instructions are all illustrations and were fairly easy to follow. The fasteners (bolts, washers, nuts) were pre-sorted/assembled therefore this helps eliminate missing pieces. Design: Overall design is pretty good. The workbench base has rubber capped legs to hold the bench in place and the angled folding legs provide great stability. The aluminum bench top has a hand crank clamp with about 1-1/2 inch of travel on the forward aluminum plank and a quick release segmented adjustment on the rear aluminum plank. The aluminum top also has integrated tracks for the installation of the included rubber-like grips. The bench top height is adjustable that really helps with various task such as sanding boards or assembling small furniture. Simply press on the spring loaded foot pedal to release the lock to either lift or lower the bench top height. The bench top also tilts to varying locking positions. The only issue with the tilt feature is the requirement to depress and hold the spring locks on both sides of the workbench simultaneously while somehow maneuvering the top to the tilt position desired (see photo). The tilt feature is a great option, however. I find it is very useful when sharpening my mower blades. Performance: The Wen workbench is very stable. Clamping 1-1/4 inch rigid pipe for cutting, the workbench did an excellent job holding the pipe and maintained stability while I hand cut. I find that the 1-1/2 travel of the crank clamp is somewhat short. I think 3 inches would have been ideal. I would have to back-crank less for varying sized work pieces. I also found it odd that the clamp crank screw works opposite of what I expect - you have to spin counter clockwise to tighten clamping force - unlike typical vises that spin in a clockwise direction. Overall the Wen workbench is a good portable bench/vise system. It does have the issue with the aforementioned bench top tilting operation. This sturdy workbench weighs in at around 30 pounds.

As a light duty work table this table is worth the price. There are some slight misalignments like the adjustable slide clamps. For the price, I would say it's a great work table. It's light enough to easily get in and out of a work truck and handy enough for most any medium sized project. I would definitely recommend this project for anyone looking for an easily storable medium sized work table. I would suggest labeling a weight limit in pounds too and not just kg.

The product itself is good but the service was better. The original workbench arrived and the carton was damaged and torn open. I assembled the unity and there were a few missing pieces. I contacted customer service at WEN and they shipped a whole new workbench! Very pleased with the workbench.
