This unit has worked well. After a couple weeks...
This unit has worked well. After a couple weeks of usage (my level of shop work), the filter was absolutely full of fine saw dust. I quick tap on the ground and some compressed air and its as good as new back to work. Image below of dirty filter.

Do not hesitate to get clean air
Save yourself from breathing bad air by getting this air filter. Not expensive compared with the quality of clean air that came out. Its so easy to install, its light and good size. Work perfect with my 300 sqf garage. Excellent features as well. I installed about 6ft above ground and work just fine. Good idea to have extra filters on hand because it gets dirty real fast.

dead on arrival and quality control issue
I received the unit and was excited to try it out. After i plugged it in it does not turn on. It turns out there is a loose wire inside the unit. See the pictures i took

October 2020 - I've been looking for an Air Filtration System for my workshop. My wood lathe kicks up a LOT of dust and I needed it badly. I checked all the other manufactures and their specifications and settled on the WEN. The unit has a remote control to turn it on/off, change the fan speed and set it to shut off after so many minutes.
I was able to install it myself but only because I used two ladders and set the WEN straddling on top of both of them. I would recommend two people but the unit is not that heavy and I was able to get it high enough and hooked up. I still need to attach the electrical connection to the ceiling.
Assembly was very easy and contained all the parts.
I can tell the difference when I turn it on and it has definitely reduced the amount of fine dust I used to find on my table saw and other parts of my workshop. I've had it about a month and can already tell the outer filter will need replacing in a couple of weeks (heavy use of my wood lathe turning Christmas gifts). The inner filter can be sprayed/dried and reused. The outer filer is a common size found in big box stores for less than $20.
I'm happy with it and would recommend this unit.

This air filtration system works very well. In my case, I purchased it instead of a dust collector. The Wen system filters out the very fine particles in the air not collected otherwise. You can hang the unit as suggested or in my small workshop, I chose to place the unit on top of a tall cabinet close to the ceiling. Instead of replacing the expensive outer filter, just vacuum it out every few days. It is simple to accomplish the task. The handy remote works well from a distance and the Wen unit is quiet and has three speeds. I am very pleased with my purchase, and my lungs agree.

Perfect for my small woodworking shop. This unit is smaller than many competitors, but even so it pushes enough CFM to adequately clean the wood dust from the air. It's smaller format makes it not ideal for larger shops, but for my needs this fit perfectly. It's timer feature is really handy as well. Very pleased with this!

Using this over 2 yrs now, update.
This Wen Air Filtration System works great. My working area of my shop is 14'x14'. When I turn it on I hardly hear it runnig. I Like that I can leave on after I leave the shop area, set the timer, and next time I come back to the shop and the wading dust is gone. Your still going to have some dust that lands around. But I have a work zone that wading dust free. Saves on filters by vacuuming out the filter or blowing them out out side. I use my shop several times a week and only had to replace the outer filter three times in over 2yrs. The inner filter is still the original filter.

I would give it 5 stars but the first one I received was defective, however home depot took care of it all for me and gave a nice store credit for my troubles and the second one works great.
