About This Product

Remember when you needed to clamp some stuff down. If you've gotten this far, odds are you know what a clamp is. I don't need to tell you anything about clamps that you don't already know. This 2-pack of WEN F-Clamps is especially great. The 36 in. steel bar combined with the 2.5 in. throat provide users maximum versatility to meet the needs of a variety of projects. The quick-adjust feature allows users to slide the clamp closed without pressing a single button. The clamp remains tight until you press the release lever and open the jaws back up. The ridged shaft creates stops every 0.05 in. while the additional micro-adjustment knob provides even more specificity than that. For even more force, crank the micro-adjustment knob to strengthen the grip on your workpiece. Non-marring pads protect your projects from the 600 lbs. of force created by these 2 clamps. Remember when you had the perfect woodworking clamps. Remember WEN.

These 6" clamps are handy for small projects. The steel bars have the quick adjustment tabs allowing easy up and down motion of the clamp. The micro adjustment handles make small adjustments to the throat opening - perfect for minor scootching of the clamped pieces if necessary without resetting the entire setup. The handles also have some rubber inserts making them easy to grip. The steel bars and metal clamp pieces are very heavy duty. The clamp faces have nice, gripping rubber faces to prevent marring of pieces. The bottom clamp face has a face that can rotate and oscillate to accommodate surfaces that aren't flat. These clamps are very well made and should last a long, long time.

These F clamps are SOLID! I like the hefty feel of them in my hands. Opening the clamp in its fully open position is a true 12-inches of clearance (see picture). I had to clamp 4x8 sheets of plywood to my sawhorses and these worked perfectly in keeping things stationary. Adjusting the clamp is a cinch – Push forward on the metal tab and move the clamp where you want it. To fine-tune the adjustment, you can use the molded micro adjustment handle to screw onto the work piece. I like how the adjustment screw is a full 5mm in width, unlike other clamps with a much thinner screw. A wider screw = more press power. At the end of the steel bar, there is a bulge that prevents you from pulling the slider off the bar. The non-marring pads are a really nice touch – great for when I cut finish wood with no worries of gouging the work piece. Great idea to have two in a pack, since I usually have to clamp both ends down when I have to make cuts in the middle of the work piece. IMO, these are well made, well thought out, and will outlive me.

12 in. Bar Clamp Set by WEN If you need a well-made, attractively finished bar clamp for precision work, I can recommend this WEN set. The full open position is a fraction more than 12 inches even with the well fitted firm rubber end protectors in place; and then a bit more with them removed if you wish. The length of the opening is very quick to adjust and very positive when it’s doubled brake takes its “bite” on the chrome colored shaft. The jaw opening is 3 inches. The threaded handle end has a little more than an inch of travel for final tightening. The handle itself is very comfortable and has a firm rubbery give when you grasp it for tightening. The screw thread pitch on this end is about 12 threads per inch which gives you not only a sensitive “feel” when tightening, but all the torque you might need as well. My first use was on a rainy day, so working inside, I used the clamp set to convert my old basement desk into a work bench (see photo attached) for the unconventional task of cutting down some plastic/fabric window shades we bought on sale that were a few inches longer than needed. So clamping a plastic miter box to the front edge of the desk was the WEN’s task, and this combination and a fine toothed hack saw did the job in an excellent manner. The bar clamps held everything very securely which proven an essential element for a job that required a smooth finish and my wife’s final inspection.

You know when you are holding a quality, the moment you pick these up, you know you have gotten a quality tool. Weighing in at a little under a pound and a half by my scale. They clamp down with ease and tighten up as tight as you need, without marring your wood and they release easy when you are done with them. For a test I clamped on two 3/4 inch pieces of plywood to a table top I am restoring, first as tight as I could get them, no damage to any of the wood, second I went to the far end of the piece of plywood, about 40 inches long and tried to move them, solid as a rock. Would give these clamps a two thumbs up! These are my first WEN clamps, but not likely my last.

There is an old saying, "That you can never have enough clamps." I can guarantee it. With that in mind I ordered these two WEN 12 inch clamps. The photos will show a 16 inch bar but the working area is 12 inch jaws. I have other brands of clamps but these have a rubberized/plastic grip that makes them easier to tighten without breaking your wrist. I have other WEN products and these are up there on par with there other fine products.

Sturdy clamps for large span work with a really nice ratchet catch and micro adjustments to finish. These clamps are heavy. That's a good thing. I have some other clamps with a similar metal shaft that has a tendency to bend and flex. These are pretty heavy so you'd really have to crank them down to flex the shaft. The ratchet/catch works well and unobtrusively. The teeth are there, but don't bite your hand. They bite the catch and hold. Just slide it up and you are almost all set. Beyond that, you can turn the knob to put the right amount of force on your clamp. Works really well, and the pads are firm, but soft. Just right. Very nice! Made in China

Excellent and strong. Long enough to hold two 12” boards together to make a cabinet top or cabinet facing. I use cloth folded several times to keep ends from marring wood.
