this was an interesting purchase.
I kept getting shipping notices that would take ~6 weeks for the item to arrive.
when it arrived (less than 10 days later!) it was covered in heavy cardboard and cellophane to protect it. Once all the packaging was removed, there were numerous scratches and scrapes on the ladder. curious how and when they got there because they were under the protective covers. I could only surmise that they were there from the factory. really? however, none of the 'damage' was structural, so I decided not to try for an exchange.
overall, I'm pleased with the ladder, although I have yet to use it. it's safely hanging in the shed, waiting for an opportunity to use it.
attached are two pictures showing the 'damage'. there are many more similar places on the ladder.

Poor product protection post manufacturing production
The shipment arrived in substantially damaged condition, cosmetically. There were many nicks, gouges and scratches on the rails and rungs. Structurally, the ladder was solid and unimpaired by the cosmetic damage. Normally the product would have been returned for replacement. However, given the immediate critical use need, the ladder was not returned. The appearance indicated that the ladder was likely damaged during shipment. It is also possible the damage occurred during warehouse handling prior to shipment.

Versatile 8’ Fiberglass Ladder
Nice and light & purchased as a roof ladder but so convenient I also use it for all kinds of general projects not requiring climbing above about six feet (it’s an 8’ ladder, total length).

The ladder was ordered on-line for in-store pickup. The ladder was warped and not usable. I was able to return it, but the store could not re-order since I ordered off of the web site. The lady at the return counter was very professional and helpful. The product itself, should have been inspected prior to my arrival. Very noticable the ladder was not manufactured correctly.
