This product was very easy to assemble and hang. It looks great and operates perfectly smooth!

I like how these type of doors save valuable space, especially in small rooms such as laundry and closets. The hardware is heavy-duty and the operation is smooth and fairly quiet due to its polymer wheels. The wall I mounted onto was unfinished though i am glad it was since i had to remove a piece of drywall to add studs for mounting. I found the easiest way to measure the door height was to put a certain thickness of desired wood underneath. I would not recommend such a project for the diy'er unfortunately since lots of care is to be taken to measure mark and drill straight. I am a professional and it still took me approximately 4 hours. That is also because i had to cut 3 inches off one end so it wouldn't interfere with the corner. If you do take this on yourself, then here is some advice; drill a tiny pilot hole from both sides and go little by little. Take your time as the tolerances must be dead-on. When hanging the rail do NOT over-tighten as that will pull the bushing into the wall and cause the door to drag.

I find this kit attractive because of its simplicity and industrial heft. Its simple finish and near primitive impression blends well into my colonial architecture and décor. I was very pleased that everything necessary for installation came in the kit. See photograph 1. The instructions were more than I expected. I found them clear and thorough – with good illustration. Fortunately, I’m installing my door under a full header (I built my entire house this way.), so the hole spacing in the track was not an issue. My advice on this is to install blocking if you don’t want to use the anchors – and can refinish the wall. The first thing I did was to assemble the track sections (See photograph 2.) and ensure it was straight, secure and had a true edge. The rest was straightforward. Depending on your wall finish, you could overtighten the standoffs. See photograph 3. But adding a rosette or similar solution may clash with their near-wrought appearance and add a gap at the door’s edge – so, you might bore for its base and add a bit of mortar or tile backer in lieu of a fragile finish (provided you’ve got that framing / header / blocking. The second point of special care is to set the anti-jump bushings very carefully. See photograph 4. Just set these after you’ve hung the door. It’s a devilish effort to measure and prep these before lifting the door. Putting them on after the fact gives much more pleasing results. Thirdly, the floor guides (See photograph 5.) should be dealt with likewise. The brackets accommodate a range of door thicknesses. Therefore, depending upon the thickness of your door, it may not hang plumb unless you shimmed (or routed) the bracket/door mating surface. Installing the floor guides without doing so will scuff the door finish and offer resistance to the door sliding (and emit noise). The parts finish is durable, and I was able to complete the installation without having to touch-up paint. I placed the track in my laundry room addition, coinciding with a former double window – now an archway. We are hanging multi-lite converging door leaves that evoke French doors. This hardware eliminates the door swing space. Since the addition created a marriage wall between old and new, we thickened that – adding cabinetry to a sandwich wall. Besides space-saving, the barn door hardware gives us flexibility to access those cabinets and still fully close the passageway for sound attenuation and energy conservation since the laundry is a different zone.

I love the shape of the roller head that comes with this hardware kit!! The large, open wheel design looks awesome and is fun to watch move. I’ve installed multiple barn door systems and so far these are My favorite! These rails are pretty easy to install and once you’ve done one you’re ready to tackle any. The rail is like all the others I’ve seen where the hole spacing isn’t 16” apart. I still don’t understand this and I’m not a huge fan of the supplied wall inserts. I’ve had several pop into the wall already and for sliding doors I want as many bolts into the studs as possible.

Very pleased with this. The frosted black is so striking. Arrived totally as stated with all hardware. To us, the simplicity of its look is what made us choose this style hanger for our self-made door. They are correct describing it as ultra-quiet, how nice. We get the authentic look without the noise. Having grown up with real barns containing metal track& sliding doors; we appreciate the high-density plastic wheels & affirm they are the reason why. This is a well-made, heavy gauge, high quality kit. Time will ultimately tell but based on how it feels, for our interior purpose, it should well exceed our lifetimes. The non-routed floor guide came within 1-2 days of rest of kit, unsure why; but glad I didn’t have to chase missing parts down. Instructions were clear with pictures to show how to’s. Definitely, highly recommend.

I really wish I could have built the door to show off for my review but quality lumber is like hens teeth and expensive to boot. However looking over this hardware I'm confident the door will work great once I can source some decent lumber. The metal components like the rail spacers and hanging hardware are well finished and solid. The bolts are clean and tie everything together nicely. Even the door stops that clamp to the hanging rail are a mixture of steel and rubber. Really the only weak point of this set up is the plastic wheels that ride on the rail. Sure they will be quieter than metal ones but they for sure would be the first point of failure. Especially if you build a heavy door. Overall I think it will make a great barn door but unfortunately lumber is too expensive and hard to get to turn into a door at the moment.

The Winsoon sliding barn door track and hardware kit has everything you need to install a barn door. The materials are heavy duty and made of quality materials. The rollers are quiet and will not jump track. It is a complete kit excluding the door. It comes with a manufacturer's five year warranty, but do not think you will be needing this. I highly recommend this kit.

This is 2 sections of 4 foot track for 8 foot of travel. This is great for a maximum of a 4 foot barn style door. Comes complete with all the hardware needed to install. Very good directions. Fairly heavy duty however the rollers are plastic which accounts for a smooth, quiet open an close. All hardware is black, everything is metal except for the roller wheels and the plastic inserts for the screws. I highly recommended this product.

Sliding Barn Door Track and Hardware Kit for a single door, (first impression), Better than I expected this hardware kit has everything I need but the door, so I will make my own it’s going to be installed by me using this hardware kit, the track is made of carbon steel, it will hold up a door from 1-3/8 in. thick to 1-3/4 in. thick and up to 230 lbs. not sure how the plastic wheels will hold up but I think they will be fine the craftsmanship is excellent, I like that it is finished with frosted black powder coating and I really like what I call wagon wheel style hangers, this hardware is durable and sturdy and will look great on our bathroom entry wall, this is a nice, simple and economical hardware kit.

We got this barn door hardware kit to use on a bathroom door in the master suite. We liked the style of the hardware when we saw it online so we ordered it. When it arrived I was impressed with the quality of the hardware and also with the quality of the black finish. The carrier wheels are pretty big and they have ball bearings so they operate very smoothly. The finish is consistent and attractive. Everything is included, even color matched lag screws.
