For specific loading I suggest you contact manufacturer or the HD Chat section. I have a table with a lot of junk on it and if I recall the specs (on legs bought at time) were in the 30# range. But that was a very long time ago and not sure the manufacture is using the same materials or connection points\methods. Hope this helps.

From my use, I have a table with 4 legs and can easily sit on one corner with no issues. Have had the table loaded with a complete set of encyclopedia's while painting a wall and not a creek. Jack, Waddell makes a table leg called the Butcher Block leg that is 35" long. They are a strong, sturdy design that goes well with any table. As for 23" chair legs, Waddell makes several legs that are very close to that length. Thank you, Zac
