Is this a great sprayer to repaint a deck?
The Flexio 3500 is an excellent choice for painting a deck. Use the iSpray nozzle for large areas and the Detail Finish nozzle for smaller items, like railing and spindles. There are a few things you can do to paint/stain to ensure it sprays well. 1 - Stir the paint/stain with a mixer in a drill until its creamy smooth, about 1 min per gallon – this makes a big difference 2 - Strain the paint/stain before it goes into the sprayer – especially if it’s a previously opened can 3 - Add a flow agent, like Floetrol or Paint Easy (this is not a thinner) for latex paint – Penetrol for oil based – for fine finishing, not for your fence 4 - Or you can thin, even as little as 5% can make a big difference, water for water-based materials and mineral spirits for oil-based material. Up to 20% is fine. Good luck with all your projects.
Will this paint ceilings
You can tilt the Flexio 3500 up at a 45 degree angle to paint your ceiling. Or, you can add the 24" HVLP extension, and tilt the gun to 60 degrees, it's part #2361756. Contact us for help at 1-800-328-8251.

Can this used to paint unfinished Hampton Bay kitchen cabinets?
Yes, it can. You would use the Detail Finish nozzle for finer atomization. Thin your paint by10%. Spray from 6" away and apply a wet coat with each pass. Yes, both water and oil-based paints, stains, and finishes are fine in our sprayers. Clean up water-based materials with water and oil-based materials with mineral spirits, then rinse with water. Good luck with all your projects.
How should the paint be thinned out

Yes, all our tools work with both water and oil-based materials. No lacquer or shellac should be used.
How can I use on a 5 gallon can?
Hello Wagn, Thank you for contacting Wagner Spray Tech. The FLEXiO 3500 is not designed to draw paint directly from a 5-gallon can. Instead, you need to pour the paint into the sprayer’s material container for use. If you have larger projects and need to draw paint directly from a one or five-gallon container, we recommend considering our High Efficiency Airless sprayers, which are specifically designed for this purpose.
