My girlfriend and I bought this to go to an outdoor music festival to shade us during the day. The night before we left we tried to put it up in the house. There are no real instructions. Just a little tiny 3 sketch thing with arrows and no words. Really??? We tried looking online for video examples and never found one for this brand. It took us a hour to finally get it up. It was hard and took both of us to pull the ropes. We are short and it was hard to reach the top to do this. Got it down and back in the bag. The next day at the festival in 100° heat we tried to set it up again. It wasn’t happening. We were able to help the neighbors put their tent up really fast and we were just struggling with this thing and the neighbors were laughing at us because we couldn't get it to go up. We would get one side up and then the other side would fall down and it was hot and we were just tired and wanted to throw that thing in the trash. The legs won't stay locked or hinged and then we hinged the legs the top becomes unhinged. Every time I got the top together then we try to put the legs out and then the top would unhook. We gave up. We are DONE! We don’t recommend this thing at all. It’s going back.

This is a fantastic beach tent. I wish I would have one of these years ago. I've had a traditional beach umbrella for 10 years. An umbrella works, but it needs a separate sand anchor, and it's a hassle to carry, setup, and pack up. And the umbrella only works well when the sun is overhead, but not very well in the morning or late afternoon when the sun comes in at an angle. And an umbrella doesn't do anything for wind, other than become a big sail. This beach tent appears to solve several of the hassles I've had with my beach umbrella. First, the tent comes with a carrying case with a handle, so it will be easier to carry out on the beach. Second, it doesn't require a sand anchor or digging to setup. You just unfold it and pull two cords, and it semi-automatically expands and pops open. The tent has folding plastic 'poles' that are integrated into the tent fabric, so there is nothing to assemble. Once setup, this beach tent has a nylon fabric floor, screened vents / windows on each side, and a half dome design that can block the sun from the top, sides and the back. It also comes with some small stakes to affix it to the ground. Packing the tent up is just as easy as setting it up. Just pop out the plastic mechanism at the top of the tent and fold up the integrated poles, rollup the fabric, and slide the single piece back into the carrying case. I look forward to taking this tent to the beach!

This beach tent was very easy to put up and use within minutes. No poles to assemble whatsoever. Once removed from the provided storage sling you simply pull on the drawstrings on the top and nest the two plastic top couplings together. One nests inside the other one to make it all lock together and that is that. They provide metal L-shaped stakes for the ground which would work fine on dirt/grass. One thing they should provide is anchors that work in the sand. Other than that I would recommend this tent as it has adequate shading for the beach.

The Wakeman Outdoors 2 Person Pop Up Beach Tent provides nice sun protection if you could just get it to Pop Up! The Wakeman Outdoors Beach tent is a half dome pop up tent that is perfect for a sunny day at the beach or for sporting events where you need sun protection for small children. This beach tent is fairly compact and light weight, less than 5 lbs, and it rolls into a storage bag which is included in the box. What isn't included in the box are clear instructions for set up. There are two crude pictures on the storage bag but this doesn’t give you a clue as to how to set this tent up. After spending about 40 minutes trying to figure out how to construct the tent it took another 15 minutes or more to figure out how to take it apart and roll it back up in the included storage bag. I just hope I remember how to put it together and take it apart the next time I use it. One thing for sure is this instant tent is definitely not so instant! Out of the box this tent includes the half dome tent, the instant tent poles (that are already together) , pole stakes to keep the tent from blowing away and a storage bag. After unrolling the tent you will need to hold the top disk with collapsible tent poles and you can either pull the 2 strings if you are strong enough to collapse the top and bottom disk together or you can push the lower disk up until it meets the top disk. To take the tent apart you will need to unhook one leg from the tent and then pull the two disks apart (see pictures). The tent dimensions are 55 inches in height, 87” in width and about 52 inches in length. This tent will accommodate 2-4 people sitting upright. The actual tent is made of water repellant nylon with a black tarp floor and fiberglass poles. There are two mesh screened windows with nylon closures for air flow and ventilation. If instructions were included I would have given it 5 stars because it is quite nice and very roomy once it is set up. Overall I would recommend this instant pop up tent because it provides adequate sun protection and is compact and light weight so it is worth lugging it to the beach if you can remember how to set it up!

This tent sets up really easy. You just unroll and unfold it, grab the main support, and pull the strings to pull and lock the two pieces together. Doing this pulls tight all of the poles and literally pops the tent up. To take it down you just pull the two pieces apart, which takes bit of force, and then the poles fold in and you can roll it back up. Once rolled up, it fits nicely into the carrying bag. The tent can easily fit two people sitting in it, even with beach/camping chairs. The two screen windows have flaps that can velcro closed or role up and secure. The walls are thin nylon really only meant to provide shade and wind protection. The floor is a more durable tarp-like material. There are two long, flat pouches on the inside for holding things like keys and phones. It has webbing loops on the outside and comes with stakes for securing it down. The stakes are pretty small and I think strong winds would pull them out of the sand. However, there are also two pouches sewn onto the outside bottom on either side of it. You could fill these with sand or set something heavy on them and it would make it pretty secure from wind. Its light, sets up quick and easy, and is plenty big for two people.

It is a very light weight, no frill, beach tent for 2 people. We actually were able to use for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) while at the beach. Bcoz of lightweight, it was easier to carry around. Although, the cloth quality isn't great, so I don't expect very long life out of it. One of the major con/flaw is that there is no instructions manual or paper. It took me more than 2 days to understand how to close it. once you have done, it's obvious, but until then, keep scratching your head.

This tent provides shade and wind protection from 3 sides and above, built in floor, and one open side to the ocean or lake. It is also a source of great fun for kids when placed in the den or backyard. It is simple to setup by pulling the sliding hub up to the top hub; if then snaps into place. Stakes are included as is a small bag to use for the stakes. There are side screened windows, a nice exterior pocket, and a carrying case for the tent as well.

This beach tent if you are lucky will last a few visits to the beach or park. The material is very light duty, and almost is like the throw away packing you get for some items. I actually though the floor material was just a wrapper to protect this but soon found out it was the actual material. There are Zero - No - Nada instructions. The label has 2 pictures which I guess are supposed to show you how to put it up. Well they did not work well. There were dangling cords with no known use and velcro fasteners without any mention of where to use them. It does come with some metal stakes for the beach which go through plastic feet on each side. The front overhang has to be connected to the proper ends and the rods must go through the appropriate loops which of course you are not assisted in figuring out where or which ones those loops might be. I finally did figure it out after about 45 minutes of messing in the hot sun with it and as you can see finally got it to stand up. Anyway due to the very low quality material especially on the floor, I cannot recommend this beach tent unless you like a challenge and are willing to accept a very short life span on the material.

As my wife and I prepare for the arival of another grandchild, we think back to the comfort availed us by our SPF 50 beach umbrella that tethered to the sand with stakes. This goes one step better, including a floor and pockets, and another step by easy pop-up tent style set up. It is also lightweight and small when folded up. Fiberglass and plastic pieces minimize the danger of rust. Practice before you go to the beach, although set up is simple enough to be shown in three pictures on the HD website, there are no instructions for folding. I guess that's just so simple? My photos show the disks hold together by friction and that there is a hook on the bottom which serves no purpose obvious to me since I never used it.

Light weight beach tent This beach tent is super compact when it is in the bag. It is super easy to get it out and make it to expand. Just pull two strings on the top and straighten the legs, you have the tent ready. It takes same effort of opening an umbrella. Folding it back also super easy. It also comes with metal stakes to keep it in place. Even though the description says 2 adult tent, it can accommodate one adult and one kid comfortably. Nice design and will be handy on the short beach outings.
