Not watertight. Not suitable for intended use.
Description field says: "Tapered ends and sides make it easy to mix and remove mud." It's explicitly advertised as suitable for MIXING mud, which means it must be WATERTIGHT. Unfortunately, the seams are very leaky. The crimped, spot-welded construction ensures it will never be watertight. That is why competing products, even some with similar pricing, use welded joints for the corners. Buying this one cost me the ability to complete my project the day I needed it.
Buy a welded mud pan.

Good mud pan
I have been using this mud pan for almost 4 years now and it works great. It isn't too heavy and it's still durable. This pan has met my expectations and I do not have anything to dislike about it.

SS is the only option for me. This 14” made...
SS is the only option for me. This 14” made maneuvering with my knives and dipping mud easy. I tried to use a hawk for a while and was dripping mud too often

The mud pan made it very easy to apply mud on the walls, love this idea. Also a big enough pan to work with.

It's held up well for MANY years now!
I have many years of use on this Mud Pan. Still going strong. No failures with any seams or welds. Cleans up easily for the next use!
