I wanted a plastic one and the same shape but could not locate one in the store. The metal ones are hard on buckets.

Will cost you an hour of your time.
The cast metal head on this mixer has sharp edges along the sides and at the very bottom where it meets your mixing bucket. This lack of finishing from the manufacturer will cause fragments of plastic to blend into your drywall mud, requiring you to pause every two minutes to pick out bits of plastic from your work. I was forced to sit at a bench grinder with this thing in an attempt to dress the edges properly for the next job. These flaws make this item an expensive option.
