Q:will this cut a hole in fake wood paneling? I just want to cut a 6" access hole in the wall to reach the hot water shutoff that I think is there(I looked everywhere else so it must be there).

    Answer This Question

A:  It will cut through paneling, but because of the offset teeth, it may splinter the paneling finish.

A:  This is a fixed blade tool. It is very sharp and being used to cut drywall which offers little resistance. It should last a long time.

              A:  No

              by|May 5, 2023

A:  No. The blade is not replaceable.

                by|May 5, 2023

A:  CeeCee, unfortunately this is a fixed blade so you cannot replace the blade. The blade is very sharp and unless you are using it for anything other it's intended use it should stay sharp for a long while. Hope this helps you out. RLC

Just stab it in the wall or ceiling and saw away. Fast, easy, comfortable, and aggressively sharp -- it's just right. Don't lose the clear blade guard.

                      Good saw
This Jab saw has made cutting drywall easy. It's very controllable and makes a nice cut. The handle is very comfortable for extended use. I highly recommend this product after almost 4 years of use. It did meet my expectations and I haven't found a reason to dislike it.

I'm an electrician so I use electrician tools. Drywallers use this Keyhole saw, so u know it's great. Very sturdy and stays sharp for a long period of time. I've used many and this is the best.

                        sturdy, strong and light.
I was installing skylights and so I had to remove a lot of overhead drywall and the box blades weren't cutting it. Ran out to my local HD looking for a better, bigger blade and found this utility saw. Asked the associate and he said he had heard good things so I took a chance. I was skeptical of it keeping a straight, even line but it did a fantastic job. It was very easy to poke through the drywall to start my cuts and all the cuts were straight and fast. I would recommend this to any DIYer with drywall plans (it can be used on other materials). Finishing my man-cave is next on my list and I am glad this is in my toolbox.
