I put up four 10" wide shelves using three brackets for each 5 foot shelf length, with each bracket double-anchored. Woke up this morning to find one shelf on floor and a big mess and another starting to separate from the wall. If there was 20lbs of weight on each shelf I would be surprised. I am sure I installed these correctly but it seems these anchors cannot support shelves beyond a certain width due to the cantilevering effect pulling the anchor horizontally out the wall. They'll probably work well for a narrow shelf where most of the load is pushing in a downward manner perpendicular to the anchor. It's a neat and convenient anchor but to me not suitable for thinner drywall and wider shelves where I suspect metal toggles are really the only solution and which I have now installed to fix this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I highly recommend steering clear of these. 1) They are... I highly recommend steering clear of these. 1) They are challenging to nail into the drywall, since they are a flimsy plastic. 2) They did not seem to hold firmly in place once the screw was inserted. I recommend instead getting the 50 & 75lb anchors that screw into the drywall. Oh, and the color is hideous if it shows at all.

The only thing preventing me from a 5-star rating is that on a couple of anchors, when hammering into wall, the tip bent from the shaft making that anchor difficult or impossible to be drive into place.Other than that, great product.
