Product Overview

Now you can have the picket fence you’ve always dreamed of and without the back breaking work of digging holes and pouring concrete. Virtually maintenance free and backed by a lifetime warranty, this classic picket fence will look new for years to come. The best part of is this fence is ease of installation. Forget digging deep holes or pouring concrete this unique system takes a lot of the time and labor out of installing your fence. You install the fence post much like chain link has been installed for the past 50-years by first driving a steel 1-5/8 in. galvanized pipe anchor (included) deep into the ground with a sledge hammer or post pounder. If your pipe is slightly crooked after installation, you can utilize our patented leveling donuts (included), to adjust into level to compensate accordingly. Once you sleeve your vinyl post over the pipe, it’s straight and level. The end result is a sturdy and strong permanent fence that wills last decades. For more detail, see our installation guides.

Hey Jay! While we do not recommend it, the height of each panel can be adjusted. Just make sure each panel is cut from the bottom. It will take some handyman work, but it is possible! I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or want to talk through your project with a fence consultant, call us at 980-270-0229. Have a great day!

They use normal anchor post. For my gate I just used regular hinges and attached them to the anchor that came with the kit. Worked perfectly.

Good morning, The Nantucket Fence Kit comes with one panel, brackets, hardware, one post, one anchor, and one cap. You will need to purchase one finishing post in addition to these items for every gate you purchase and to finish off the end of your run. The item code for this product is BL19042. I hope this helps. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Kindly, Kayla

Can the sections be joined at a 45 degree angle?

Yes, they can.

Is there a corner post kit for this system?

Asked by KeenlyInterested September 7, 2016

Answers

The system uses brackets so the post that comes with the panel is considered "universal" which means that it can be used for the straight, inline and corner applications. Simply screw the brackets at a 90 degree agree from the fence. Please note that you will need a finishing post to complete the project (BL19042) which can also be used as a corner post, provided you screw the brackets in the right place.

Neither my husband nor I are very handy. But our fence needed replacing, and this looked like a good option for us. It was so easy, it looks amazing, and we bought it for a fraction of the cost of paying someone else to install a fence for us. I highly recommend this fence!

This fencing system is a very cool idea, but in my opinion installing it wasn't all that much easier than a traditional fence. The pickets were extremely difficult to insert! I was actually worried the pressure it took to put them in place would end up snapping them in half. Just be careful and patient and you should be alright. The finished product does look great, and overall I am pleased with it. I got it on sale, and at the sale price I would recommend it.

Don't think because you are a senior citizen, that you can't put up a fence. I am a great grandmother, 81 years old and decided I could put up 3 panels a month, to keep my Yorkies inside the fence. The fence was so easy, could do 1 panel a day, so immediately ordered 4 more panels. The poles were a bit of a problem, but with a mallet, was able to drive the poles into the hard dirt. Found it was easier to drill the hole and soak it with water, then drive the pole in. My fence is looking great.

Seeds Program Review
(What's this)
I had to change my initial review of this fence. Two weekends ago, I tried to install this fence and I ran into trouble pounding the post into the ground. The dirt at our house has a lot of rocks in it. We have a hill in our back yard and it looks like volcanic activity pushed the earth up and created our hill. When they graded the land, the lower level dirt was brought to the surface. That's the stuff with all the rocks in it. I didn't follow the directions, because I couldn't hammer the pole in far enough. I dug a foot deep hole and filled it with water. I kept it full for a whole week, then I used an 8lb sledge hammer and pounded the pole until the top had mushroomed and I didn't think I should go any further. It was still about a foot too tall, but when I wiggled it, it felt solid. I reinstalled the top donut. Then I adjusted the donuts to make the pole plumb. I measured the placement of the lower horizontal bar bracket. I screwed it into the post, then I noticed that the post was too close to the other post (by an 1/8 inch or so). I had to take the post off - that's when I noticed that the screws were driven through the post and into the lower donut. I moved the donut so it would give me the most clearance on the side. I put the post on and it still needed a little more space. I used my saw to cut a little bit off the horizontal beam. Oddly enough, the top beam fit. Both posts are plumb, so I don't know what this happened - no complaints on my side. I then finished the installation of the two horizontal beams, then I placed the pickets in. I put the cap post on and I was done! The fence feels solid. The post feels solid. Yes! I included some photos for you to look at . The hardest thing for me was pounding the pole into my rock strewn soil. I am a believer that it's much easier to pound the pole in vs digging a 3 foot hole in my rocky soil. And the installation of the fence is much easier that installing the pre-made fence sections. I can now give this fence a solid thumbs up. I recommend it to anyone installing a new fence!

The fencing panels were fantastic, very easy to install and look really good but the gates were difficult and did have to be dug in and cemented and they still seemed too heavy.
