Q:what is the actual size of the board
by|Sep 11, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: 0.5 inches thick
1.5 inches wide
96 inches long
With this piece being so small, how wet or dry it is after treatment can affect sizing. If it's freshly treated, it could be a little larger than this. If it's very dry, it will likely be a smaller.

Horrible crap
Bought 10 pieces for curbside delivery. The items were wrapped so it was hard to tell if just one was warped or all ten. Lady told me to return . I didn’t need 8 feet length so thought I could trim them out. Wrong . The were all twisted and warped and should have been throw aways. How they can get away with such poor products and try to pawn them off on on the elderly needing curbside assistance. Just a horrible company and crappy wood products.

Straight and clean
Boards were straight and had few knots. Lost a big rose bush and trellis in the recent Northeaster. Was able to salvage the rose and built the trellis in an hour or so, using 18 ga nails in a Porter Cable gun.

These are standard pressure treated 1x2 pine boards. We knocked one star off as some of the boards were too warped to use on our driveway joint replacement project. Otherwise they are relatively defect free (very few knots). They take colored stain well - see photos.

My item was well packaged for pick up. Majority of my boards were straight, no curves or slants, and symmetric. I needed straight, symmetric boards for the shower floor project I am working on.
Pressure-Treated Pine meets the highest grading standards for strength and appearance. Treated for protection against fungal decay, rot and termites, it is ideal for ground contact and a variety of general uses including exposed structures, sill plates, decks, docks, ramps and other outdoor applications. Responsibly manufactured from renewable southern yellow pine, this lumber is both safe and environmentally friendly when used as directed in appropriate applications.Treated wood is typically still wet when it's delivered to The Home Depot or job site. As it dries, you should expect slight changes in width and length. As lumber dries, it may split, cup and warp. This is more likely to occur to occur in lower-grade boards, where knots and uneven grains are already present. Each piece of lumber is unique and carries physical characteristics that may include the following: knots, warping, shrinkage, swelling and/or splitting.
Pressure-Treated Pine meets the highest grading standards for strength and appearance. This treated Ground Contact lumber must be used for applications where treated lumber is difficult to maintain, repair or replace. Treated lumber is critical to the performance and safety of an entire system or construction such as deck joists, beams and ledger boards. An additional benefit of treated lumber is its defense against rot and insect infestation for its vast majority of applications. Southern yellow pine is responsibly manufactured, safe, and environmentally friendly when used as directed.
