  • Based on the size of the product, your order must ship with a 3rd party freight carrier; the trucking company will call to set a date and time frame for delivery; you are responsible for the hand-off loading the product from the end of the truck, curbside; shipment is unsafe for lift-gate; the product is shipped unassembled and the individual pieces weigh no more than 20-25 lbs. so that they can be easily managed during hand-off loading; you may choose "Pick Up In Store" if you prefer to have your order shipped to your local Home Depot store

Answer This Question

A:  We always recommend using a post that is 3 ft longer than the fence is tall. If you use a 6 ft post with a weatherables 4' fence it you would have only 20 inches into the ground after you figure the 2 inches of post that extends above the panel and then a 2 inch gap at the bottom. This is not deep enough in most parts of the country for our fencing.

    A:  They are 2different size. We did have to buy new posts due to the supports for the pickets.

            Overall very satisfied with the product. Didn't realize I had to be home to off load the many many pieces of fencing from the 18 wheeler as none of it was boxed. As it turns out I was shorted 47 pickets ( left on the truck???), but Amy at USA Vinyl provided spectacular customer service and reshipped the pickets very quickly and at no charge. The fence looks beautiful and not plasticly ! Thanks Home Depot and USA Vinyl!!

            The instructions for installation are for all kinds of fences. I used it on a picket fence. In the dry west, digging 3 feet down is next to impossible. Our soil is like concrete. By hand, you are scrapping it off. I cut off a foot and installed it. Easy to install.
