A: It just sits on top of the post. You can glue with vinyl glue if you like but ours never blows off.

A: There are options. They fit fairly tightly by pushing them onto the post. A little adhesive caulk would hold them on better. If you want a permanent attachment and never plan on removing them, some PVC cement would do the trick.

A: I fasten two sides with 1/4 " aluminum self tapping screws purchased at Home Depot. I fasten the two sides running with the fence so that if you are standing in front or behind the post you don't see the screw heads.

A: It just snaps on tightly, no screws needed. We've had them for over a yr and half and no problems with their staying on.

A: Pat - This cap is made to fit right over a 5 in. x 5 in. post. If you are concerned that it may come off we recommend a dab of silicone in a corner or two. Silicone is better than glue in case you ever have to take the cap off for some reason you can use a rubber mallet and tap the corners so that the silicone will break and you can replace the cap.

Shouldn't need to order these, as the posts with sections and the stand alone end posts come with the caps. However my end posts came with 4" x 4" caps instead of 5" x 5". Home Depot replaced and received them in 2 days. Good quality PVC but pretty pricey. If they last a lifetime then a good value. BTW, I did add some drops of adhesive to keep the caps from blowing off...had one do it. We live on a lake and it gets gusty

The pyramid post cap is one of several different designs offered by Weatherables. Weatherables provides a number of different fencing kits. I installed the Pembroke model fence kit. The quality of all materials is top notch at a reasonable cost. The cap puts the finishing touch on the fence installation. Simply slide it on top of the fence post with a dab of silicon caulking to keep it secured.

All the Fence Arrived on a Truck. The Dispatch Lady said the Pallet would be placed on the Curb and could be Dismantled from there. Not So... It came on an Eight foot Pallet that needed one guy in the truck, dismantling the Pallet and my wife on the ground to take the fence piece by piece. I wish home depot Service Fence Rep, would have told us that. If My Old Wife was there alone when it arrived, we would have had to send the Load Back, because there was no one to unload it. We built the fence it works great. RH
