    Answer This Question

A:  Good question, Linda! Typically, most of our customers would use a railing product for a balcony project but ultimately, it would be dependent upon your local code requirements in your area. I do hope this has helped but if you have any additional questions, please feel free to give us a call at 855-224-9761.

A:  Great question, Kathy! That depends on if the posts have existing routes/holes in them for the fence rails to attach. If they do not, then yes you could use them either by using brackets or cutting the holes/routes in the post on site using a dremel or jigsaw. I do hope this has helped but if you have any additional questions, please feel free to give us a call at 855-224-9761.

        More than just a fence
My purpose for this fencing was a little different. I used it as a partition for my pergola to block the afternoon sun. It worked perfectly.

        More than a fence
My purpose for this product was a little unorthodox. My pergola has a Southern exposure which renders it somewhat uninhabitable in the hot summer afternoons. I decided to try installing this fencing as a partition to block the sun, which it did, perfectly.

I wanted to make a privacy corner off my three-season porch entrance, an area I can develop into an outdoor patio with a grill and seating. Since I also wanted the height of the fence to allow me to still visit with neighbors, I chose the Weatherables' Pembroke 5 ft. high x 8 ft. wide privacy fence kit. I was impressed with the quality and durability of all the components -- the tongue & groove panels have interior ribs, designed to fortify each panel; the top & bottom rails are also of an equally thick & sturdy quality; and the bottom rail has an aluminum I-beam running the length of the component for rigidity and strength. The kit didn't include any directions, so I printed out the installation guide found on this page. As a novice in fence builds, I found the directions a bit lacking when it came to illustrations of the assembly how-to and sequencing, and the only video I found was on the Weatherables website, and only addressed post installs. Some more detailed directions & illustrations would be highly recommended. I had already completed assembly and installation of the front portion of the privacy corner, using a Pembroke 6 ft. wide kit, and had the bottom rail of the larger 8 ft. section already installed in the corner post before setting in concrete. The components of these Weatherables kits are easy to work with, and the tongue-and-groove panels slide into the rails smoothly. Soon, I had the second section assembled, and carefully lifted it into position -- it took a bit of balancing, but eventually I got both rails installed in the end post, and the completed corner looked great. Eventually, I'm adding a pre-existing painted wood privacy gate to the front to finish the project I like the look and solid quality of the Pembroke -- this vinyl fencing is of a superior quality to others on the market, and at a surprisingly affordable price. I highly recommend the Weatherables line of vinyl fencing.

I wanted to make a privacy corner off my three-season porch entrance, an area I can develop into an outdoor patio with a grill and seating. But I also wanted the height of the fence to allow me to still visit with neighbors, so I opted for Weatherables' Pembroke 5 ft. high x 6 ft. wide privacy fence. As I unpacked the Pembroke Panel Kit, I was impressed with the quality and durability of all the components -- the tongue & groove panels even had interior ribs, designed to fortify each panel; the top & bottom rails were also of an equally thick & sturdy quality; the bottom rail has an aluminum I-beam running the length of the component for rigidity and strength. As a novice in fence builds, I found the directions a bit lacking when it came to illustrations of the assembly how-to and sequencing, and the only video I found was on the Weatherables website, and only addressed post installs. Some more detailed directions & illustrations would be highly recommended. Once I got the first post installed -- I used one of Weatherables' beefy aluminum I-beams specially designed for giving the post its outstanding wind-resistance -- I was ready to prep and install the bottom rail and begin the section assembly. The components were easy to work with, and slid into the rails smoothly. Soon, I had the section complete, and lifted it into position to install the rails into the corner post. It took a bit of balancing, since I didn't have a helper, but eventually it was complete, and looked great! After putting the bottom rail for my next section into the corner post, I set the post with a quick-setting post concrete. Really like the look and solid quality of the Pembroke -- this vinyl fencing is of a superior quality to others on the market, and at a surprisingly affordable price. I highly recommend the Weatherables line of vinyl fencing!

This five-foot tall by eight-foot wide vinyl privacy fence panel kit is a stark white. Unfortunately, in my opinion a fence that is five feet tall is not all that private. The other thing I found disappointing is that there were no assembly instructions. This fence section is remarkably heavy in weight, which was unexpected. The assembly of one section will need more than one person and is just the beginning of long, laborious task for a complete fence.

The Pembroke White Vinyl Privacy Fence Panel Kit is an easy way to add definition to your yard. I chose to use the panels to isolate an area for my trashcan‘s so they cannot be seen from the street. First, the kit did not come with instructions. However, it was easy to assemble and since I was doing it myself as a one person job are used several strap clamps to hold the pieces together as I assembled. Next, get those together very easily with built-in tabs that lock into place. Third, the bottom of the posts were about 30 inches long which allowed me to send them into the soil platform. Are used an auger to make the post holes and then level the fence sections to each other. Finally, I filled in the holes and washed the fence down. The project was easy and was completed within about an hour and a half. Since I put the panels together myself the only difficulty I had was moving them into position. But that wasn’t that difficult.

This 6ft. high x 6ft. long white vinyl pivacyfence is made by Weatherables and the model is called the Penbroke. I have installed other Weatherable brand vinyl fences before but this is the first time I have installed this type, where the panel sections slide into the top rail and bottom rail. It was quite simple and took only about 5 minutes to put the section together. In my application I used an 8ft. section and a 6ft. section to add privacy to an area by my patio.. I used the 5x5 vinyl heavy duty posts only. I used post hole diggers to set my first post 22" deep. This might not seem deep enough to most, but here in Arizona we have alot of rocks in the ground so it was deep enough. After setting the post, I used cement in the hole up to about 4 " from ground level. I wanted to give extra support, so I careful built a funnel type system and poured extra cement in threw the opening where the bottom rail slides in, making sure not to come up to high inside the post. The instructions explain how to do it. Then let this setup till the next day. The difference in this system is that you dig all your holes first, but don't set them! ( only the first one). The next day I was able to start putting the panel section together. Start by getting the bottom rail ( it has a very nice heavy metal piece that is inserted, to give the rail more support). Slide it into the post until you hear the little tab click. Now get your top rail and snap into post also, then begin to slide each panel into the top and bottom rail. This is the easy part! You will need 2 people for this step. Then take your second post and snap the other 2 ends of the rails into that post. This is when you set that post. This is the part that makes this system different. This is the highest quality vinyl fence I have ever worked with, and I highly recommend it to anyone!

The Pembroke 6 ft X 6 ft Vinyl Privacy Fence Kit makes for a superior product in vinyl fencing. A 6 foot kit comes with 6 tongue & groove pickets/ panels that are just over 11 inches wide each. Each panel is hollow but it has 6 interior chambers for support which makes it much stronger and rigid, more so than a single sheet panel. 2 end caps (U channels) that slide onto the panels sides to hide the tongue-in-groove ends. Bottom and top rails that pickets slot into. Bottom rail has a thick aluminium rod that reinforces it if your erecting this fence in a high wind area. The posts you have to buy separately, the 5 x 5 inch posts are thick vinyl and you have the option of pouring concrete into it up to 22 inches after you have concreted the posts in already. The posts come in different configurations so you can buy 2 end posts if your erecting 1 fence kit or if your connecting them to make a longer fence you can buy the joining posts as well. If your looking to make a right angle turn ( L shape) in your fence they also sell the corner post . I (50+ female) assembled this indoors and it was easy, however im digging 12 wide X 30-36 inch deep holes (required) for this 6 ft high fence but im hitting rock already so im having to employ a professional with equipment to do that part soon -apart from this set-back a novice can attain perfect results! It came with a booklet of the parts but didnt have assembly instructions but Home Depot has them on the items website page. Two last things to remember is to drill a small hole in the bottom rail to allow rain water to exit and to tape off the ends of the rail to prevent the concrete from the dug hole seeping in. 2 panels in the L shape can define an area/boundary or make a great shaded sitting area. I think this is a wonderful fence system, great quality & value and would recommend it. 5 STARS.

I used this fence section in conjunction with the 8ft section to make an L shaped fence to hide our air conditioner and trash cans. It was very easy to install. I used a post hole digger to get down 36" and installed 4 x 4 pressure treated posts. I just back filled with dirt and did not use concrete. Assembling these sections was pretty easy. The small sections slide into the top and bottom rails and the rails push into the posts. The top caps just push right into the top of each post. I did cut down each post about 1 1/2"ft so that the bottom of the fence sections was just about flush with the ground. I didn't want leaves to blow under them. On the inside of both fence sections I put several stainless screws through each rail and into the fence sections. I also installed screws through the fence posts into the 4x4's. It feels very sturdy and i'm happy with the way it turned out. I installed some crushed stone around the perimeter of the fence to have a buffer between the lawn and the fence. I didn't want the fence to get stained when cutting the lawn or trimming.
