Product Details

Secure your fence or railing gate with the Trident 10 in. safety pool gate latch. Manufactured from high quality, durable nylon polymer, the Trident latch will not rust or corrode over time. The Trident 10 in. gate latch also features a sophisticated, modern design in a more compact profile. It will work on vinyl, wood or metal gates and meets all international pool codes. The Trident gate latch comes with 2 keys and is keyed alike, so if you purchase multiple latches, they will conveniently all use the same key. The Trident gate latch features a top pull design for added safety so that children cannot reach the latch to open it. It can be installed for left or right swinging gates; see installation instructions for details. The Trident latch requires a gate gap between 3/8 in. and 1-1/2 in. and can be used with square gate posts and gate frames. Gates with round posts require the Round Post Adapter (sold separately: ZBGA-LATCHRNDADPT-NW). The Trident latch carries a warranty to 1 million cycles, so you can rest assured it will stand the test of time.

A:  This will not allow for a gate to swing either way. If you shim away from the post you will have less and less stability from the screws which could cause a long term issue. It would be best to extend the hinges and far as possible before trying to make the latch work. If the install still requires a shim I would recommend a wider gate.

    A:  You would need to contact a local locksmith to have them re-key the lock to match the key that you already have.
